Description:

In the truest spirit of Art School, you will be making ONE handmade journal of at least 40 pages (one-sided, or 20 front and back pages). containing:

In some unusual and visual manner, a page for each:
An introduction to yourself, in an uncommon way
A middle of yourself, in the form of a map
& A Conclusion/Farewell to the other artist (but not really goodbye)

interspersed with....

12 Challenge pages: ie, create a mostly blank page with an art prompt that challenges the journal receiver to respond...

as well as...

10 Sender's Choice pages: These can be anything you think of. You can add more of the prompts below or do something completely random...

and the journal also must include specifically...

5 pages you have already art'd up: These can be anything, whether purely visual...with a dash of verbal included...with a mix CD soundtrack...that unfolds or folds into something...whatever! get creative!

4 art history pages dedicated to your favorite artists or genre periods: one artist/period per page (bonus points if there is a delicious bit of artist-related gossip included!)

3 technique or material demonstrations/informational pages: show off something you know, try out something you didn't, or discuss the finer points of materials

2 pages designed around artists/genres you love to hate! Be sure to explain why.

1 scandalicious Art School-style Confidential story told in an unusual way!

In addition to the journal and in the spirit of higher educating, also include a supplies pack for the other artist along with any neato or found objects and bits and pieces.

Deadline is flexible, but until then...Go forth, and create!
