Have some shrink plastic laying around? Let’s use up some of our scrap shrink plastic and make some kawaii charms!

For this swap, you will create a kawaii design on some unshrunk shrink plastic to make a charm!

Swap Requirements

Your design must be unshrunk (not baked or heated with a heat gun) in order to be mailed flat in an envelope. Please make sure the shrink plastic you use is bendable and not rigid to ensure it will survive the sorting machines and the journey to your partner.

Your design must be original artwork. It must also be cut, have a border around it, and a punched hole so that it may be used as a charm after your partner shrinks it down.

Make sure to remember how much your design will shrink, I suggest making your design in the 1.5in-2in wide/long range as these are meant to be the size of bracelet or japanese phone charm once shrunk and because the plastic shrinks to 1/3 of its size.

Suitable materials to be used in shrink plastic include colored pencils, alcohol markers, and acrylic paint. Some shrink plastic comes sanded down to make the drawing process easier, those that aren’t may be sanded down (such as #6 plastic).

Please protect your design by placing it inside some folded up paper before putting it in the envelope. Make sure the envelope or a note inside has the swap name and your swap username!
