Make something for the first time swap

The Year of 2026 is the year of TRYING NEW THINGS!!!

This is your chance to make something you’ve never made before! I know first hand what it’s like to be scared of something in your craft room that still sits in its box all these years later.. (Me and my sewing machine) This is YOUR CHANCE to take over that fear and MASTER it! (or at least make it not so mystifying😂)

So for this swap, you need to find the thing that you either saw on YouTube and always wanted to try or open up something that you couldn’t get rid of because maybe one day you’d use it.

Here are some examples off of my list:

Sewing something…ANYTHING.
Opening that Wooble’s kit we all seem to have but never used.
Watercolor Painting on a post card.
Making a Zine
Making a card with an unopened Cutting machine
Stained Glass art with dyed clear Elmer’s Glue.
Diamond Art.
Open that 3d Printer!
ANYTHING you have ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY!

I am giving us sometime to do this incase you never crocheted before or whatever and wanted to do something that is time intensive...or we all work 72 jobs and need the extra time.

Now here are the rules. Trying new things doesn’t always yield the results we want but please don’t send an unusable item. Things are easier than you think!

This is an anything goes Sender’s choice Swap.. but maybe add a few stickers/washi tape to your partners profile that they might like?

Newbies are welcome as long as they have a well filled out profile and have logged in 5 days before the swap. Anyone else should not have any unexplained 1s or 3s or a score below 4.

I reserve the right to ban anyone who might show that they will not fulfill this swap. Because of the nature of this swap, I can’t angel.. sorry!

These will be an artistic packaged item that will be marked a 3.. I am new…let me know if this is not correct…

To rate your person a 5 they must have sent you an item that had some care to it. It looks like they tried really hard. (It doesn't matter if it is to your taste, just that they tried!)

To rate your partner a 3 it means it’s not in good condition or they just slapped some stickers on a post card and called it a day.

A 1 is if you didn’t receive anything and they won’t respond! Please before you rate someone with a 1 or 3 you Directly Message them first!

I will do this again if there is interest. And for now I am keeping it a USA because postage on packages out of the country is expensive right now. But if there is interest, I will open it up to international!
