As this is my busiest time of year, I'm staying light on swaps until things calm down.
I am a very strange and rather geeky person. I love laughter and conversation above all else. I would love to spend my time reading, gaming and then more reading. I tend to live in a world of fantasy that may or may not coincide with what I feel the real one is. Despite whatever problems or complications arise, I continue to love my life.
On a more practical note I am a Presbyterian minister married to an atheist and living next to a beach. We have dogs, not kids and are very happy with that fact. None of these things were what I expected, but I'm pretty happy with how it worked out.
I read enough that picking favorite books is impossible. Basically good fantasy or humor is bound to get my attention.
Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Terry Prachett, Anne Lammott, Anne Bishop, Emma Bull, Christopher Moore, Carl Hiaasen, Jim Butcher
I really like trying new things (partially because I have a short attention span.
Right now my crafts of choice are:
Dylan: My beloved "Dr. Seuss" dog. He's part dachshund and part fox we think.
Conall: My husband's Siberian Husky. For some reason he is developing a pink stripe on his nose for the winter.
Little Red Riding Hood, especially Angela Carter's version The Company of Wolves.
The Golden Bird
Contemporary versions of older tales or rewrites that turn them into full novels.

Oh yay! I am so glad you got it and that you like him! I'd love to see a pic if you get him hanging in a cage :)
Cara, Your prize is on its way to you. Again I apologize for the lateness. Here is the tracking # for it: 03100480000242403580
I'm so happy that you like the cauldron pincushion! (And that you're a Prydain fan, too. :D I think I'm going to have to re-read the books now, thinking about a project to make stirred up all these fond memories of them.)
I'm glad you liked it, congrats on your win :)
Thank you so much for the Once Upon a Time Baba Yaga prize!! I've not heard that version before, so it was fun to see the yarn and read about your inspiration. I may have to make a kerchief :P

Got the package for the Cup and Chaucer Oct. WTA. I like the handmade card (did you make it?) and the bookmark a lot! They're both really cool! ...and I always appreciate trying out new teas. Thank you very much!
