In no particular order I am a mother, a military wife, a seamstress, an aspiring pastry chef, an aspiring midwife. I love to travel, to eat good food. I love my family. I love to meet new people and make things and learn new things everyday.

My absolute favorite band has always been the Barenaked Ladies. They stick out among the rest of my taste, which has varying extremes includes the Stones, Johnny Cash, Ani Difranco, Jeff Buckley, Lila Downs, Elton John, Bjork, Caedmon's Call, Jennifer Knapp, Cake, David Bowie, Prince. the list goes on. ... and I'm a sucker for NPR. which is not music. But This American Life is the best.

I LOVE craft books, pamphlets that I find in thrift stores, they are always inspiring.

Sewing, Baking and Cake Decorating, Knitting, crocheting, Altered Books, decopauge, Photography, soap making, writing- that's not really a craft. Basically I love creating anything with my hands, and I am always eager to learn new creative outlets.

I am brand new to this site, and eager to get started. Finding myself in a no-mail slump after the holidays (I LOVE Christmas cards!) I am so happy to have stumbled across here, a community of artists who love to share. I think this will be a great inspiration for me to create and share and enjoy other's work as well. And being a person who moves a lot, it's nice to be part of an online community with a passion for art!
