Hi everyone~
I'm Blythe, otherwise known as MilkTeaMori. :) I love nature and plants and animals, and every day I try to learn more about ecology and how everything is connected in this world we live in. I also adore illustration and animation; I have a major soft spot for children's books illustrations.
I love traveling, and so far in my life I've been lucky enough to both travel and move quite a bit! Some of my favorite places I've visited are:
*Lots of places in Japan
*Edinburgh and Skye, Scotland
*Cairns, Australia
*Pacific Northwest (USA)
*Hong Kong Disneyland
*Shanghai Disneyland
*Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneysea
Two big things you might like to know about me are:
I worked two internships as a cast member at Walt Disney World
I taught English in Osaka, Japan for a short time
Also, I'm a Hufflepuff! :D
I'm not terribly picky about music! I am a bassoonist, and I love listening to instrumental songs. If I had to choose a single favorite piece that I've played, it would have to be the fourth movement of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique—it's so fun for bassoons!
I also love folk and americana, as well as music from Disney movies and from musicals!
Some music artists I enjoy:
*Mumford and Sons
*Kenshi Yonezu
*Radwimps
*Passenger
*Florence and the Machine
*Gaelic Storm
*Hozier
*The Used
I LOVE Disney and other animation studios like Cartoon Saloon and Ghibli. Some of the all-time favorite movies are:
*The Lion King
*Princess Mononoke
*Your Name.
*The Secret of Kells
*Song of the Sea
It is entirely too difficult for me to choose favorite books, or even favorite authors! I spend a fair amount of time reading (I even work at a library right now). I enjoy science/nature, historical fiction, and fantasy the most (though I am willing to try other genres as well!) Some reads I've enjoyed lately:
*Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
*Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
*Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
*The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben
And it would be impossible for me not to mention my love for the truly charming and magical works of Beatrix Potter!
Honestly, I don't watch much TV. Series I've enjoyed recently include:
*Moominvalley
*Beyond the Boundary
*Tsurune
*Anne with an E
