I am obsessed with Mad Men. I love the vintage clothes in the show and think Joan is so beautiful. I am sort of all over the place... reality tv is my weakness and I seem to watch anything involving weddings... bridezillas, four weddings etc.

Technically I am a "newbie" when it comes to scrapbooking as I never knowingly scrapbooked. I have always enjoye creating and making things with my hands. I paint, crochet, knit, scrapbook and take many things apart just to try to put them back together again ;) doesnt always work out though. In highschool we had to create a poetry book and I spent more time covering the book in fabric, ribbons, glitter and buttons than I did completing the poems. My mom is on swap-bot and says great things about the site AND... she gets really cool stuff in the mail almost every week so I thought I would check it out.

I really do enjoy ALL sorts of music. I am the sort of person that gravitates to different sorts of music based on my mood and as such am a mixed bag of sorts. I grew up watching 80's videos on VHI with my mom and listening to The Beatles with my Aunt. I love old scratchy sounding records and the look of vinyl records and yellowed sleeves.

I currently own any and every Stephen King book that has been published. I am an avid romance reader and LOVE LOVE LOVE history books. Especially history themed books where the author takes creative licence and sort of "fills in the blanks". Phillipa Gregory is a perfect example of this. I sometimes make themed bookmarks based on the themes of my books using fabric or whatever supplies I can get my hands on. Griffin and Sabine is a wonderful book full of intereting artwork that speaks volumes to me, makes me want to travel to gather supplies and bring them home to make elaborate and beautiful postcards that tell a story.

My favorite things to make are cards for loved ones or friends and family. I love cute things that enhance the cards, like rub ons, brads, 3 dimensional stickers and flowers. I also like to make mats for pictures with decals to really personalize the picture. My new obsession is inchies! I am just learned what an inchie was from swapquest and want to see what I can make. But more than anything I love to see and learn about what fellow crafters are doing so that I can increase my experience and learn from them.
