Hi there and thanks for taking the time to look over my profile.
I've been away for a while from Swapbot due to some disappointing swappers who just didn't bother or gave me second hand/regifted items which made me a little disheartened with the whole process.
However, I'm back again and I'm being more selective with who and what I swap.
For those that don't know me, I'm a 40 ish year old Australian living in London with my hubby and three cats. I've been here over 15 years and still love it.
I travel for a living, but when I'm not on the road, I'm a real homebody.
As I'm based in the UK, anything I post may take a while, so if there is ever an issue please email me and I'll see what I can do, like post another item. Also, as I'll probably be posting things while I'm on the road, so I will rely on the honesty of the postal system from wherever it is that I'm sending it from.
I'm very proud of my rating, so I can assure you that I will work hard to create projects that meet the criteria and will spend time making sure an item is something of good quality and something that I would be happy to receive myself. However, if for some stranger reason you get something that isn't up to your standards, please do let me know and I will do everything I can to make it right.
I'm a crochet addict and a card maker to boot. When I'm not working away from home you'll find me curled up somewhere with a crochet hook and a project on the go.
I would love to swap/meet crochet minded people and hopefully contribute to other projects. As I've run of out family and friends to crochet for, I now crochet purely for children in need (orphaned boys mainly).....so single bed crochet blankets are my fav thing right now.
I love bright bold colours as well as pretty girlie pastels, so many colours, so much wool, so little time! :))
When I'm not crocheting, I bake cookies, cakes and slices or hand make cards.
I love a good TV series.....any excuse to sit and crochet again lol. My hubby likes to watch movies, so again I'll sit, watch and crochet......but if I have a preference I like drama, biographies or true stories. As for TV, I'm a huge fan of Crime Dramas, Scandal, Madam Secretary, Law and Order.
I believe in Pay It Forward!
I'm currently crocheting blankets for orphaned boys and clothes for premature babies. In the past I made blankets for cats who were given away from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home. My own cat came from there and he came with a knitted blanket. So now I like to give back.
When I work away from home, my job consists of being in shops a lot, so I look out for reduced priced children's clothes which again go to orphaned children.
I love, love, love music. I play it often and pretty much listen to everything and anything.
As you've probably noticed, I like crafts but having said that I can imagine it would be easier to figure out what to send if someone lists their likes and dislikes, so I've taken the time to list a few things that might help.
Loves of my life.... Traveling, cats, baking, music, card making, gardening and of course crochet.
I love anything with butterflies. So stickers of flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs etc are just the prettiest.
Have a collection of diaries and notebookes with matching colour pens lol.
Weird and wonderful refrigerator magnets.
I really like American stuff, especially the food. I especially like the prepacked cookie mixes, Light Peach Ice Tea and Light Sweet Tea sachets and Cheeze-It Cheddar. YUM!!
Unfortunately, I dont' eat chocolate in any form, as I'm alergic to it. However, I do like honeycomb, hard candy and spearmint sweet or caramel.
When I'm not enjoying yummy stuff from the US, I try to be good and eat organic food and drinks.
I can collect used stamps from around the world, as I'll give them to charity.
I will gladly and appreciatively accept any colour wool but I do have a preference for bright rainbow colours or pastels. However, I'm not fussy, wool is wool and I'm always thankful.
Don't like so much..... Sorry to say, but I do not like coffee, fennel, liquorice, chilli or almonds. Flavoured foods included. And, I can't eat chocolate!
Unfortunately, I don't scrapbook, sew, cross/long or short stitch or make bookmarks.
Not really into Kawaii, lume bands, writing paper, postcards, free post ads, religious items/pamphlets or juvenile looking things.....sorry!
I don't have children and I don't have any nieces and nephews. Just cats who love cat nip lol.
As I'm asthmatic, I have a sensitivity to cigarette smoke and would appreciate your understanding about items smelling of smoke.
