I am a mother of two teenaged daughters and married to a wonderful man. We have a dog and a cat (but the cat is my favourite!) and we are a typical busy family.
I work as an Office Manager for a Real Estate Agent and love my job.
I have always loved snail mail and pen pal type things so swaps are right up my alley.
Almost anything :) Right now I am in a knitting and cross stitch phase but that could change without notice - leaving a path of UFO'S (unfinished objects) in it's wake.
I like to collect vintage craft supplies - I stalk the local thrift store for old knitting needles and sewing notions - oh yeah, I didn't mention that I sew too. I love to see how the tools that were used are either more efficient than today's or how they have evolved.
I play clarinet in two local community bands so classical music is right up there - but so are pop, rock, christian rock...pretty much anything except jazz and rap.
Practical Magic and Dirty Dancing
I am in love with Mad Men and also Parenthood...I don't usually have time to watch much tv so I catch my shows whenever possible on our PVR-type feature.
I love autumnal colours. Any of the deep greens, golds and burnt oranges are lovely.
I do a lot of baking and bread making for my family - my girls hardly know what store-bought cookies taste like :)
I love spicy smells rather than sweet and prefer chocolate over sugary treats. I can crave salty, crispy goodies pretty strong sometimes!!
I drink coffee and tea...actually I "use" coffee and enjoy tea - I am not fond of herbal teas that contain too much hibiscus but love most flavoured black teas.
I love to send and receive to far-flung places - my family is from Canada and the States and my husband is from Malta so I love to send things to anywhere else...just for fun.
I am not a "blingy" person - I love the glitter but don't feel as though I can ever pull it off!! I appreciate anything that is hand made and nothing that has ever been made for us has ever left the house again - no matter how small it gets. The time and effort put into handmade makes it so special...I almost cry when I see hand made baby blankets in the thrift store - I want to take them all home :)

Much better profile! We seem to have a lot in common now.
Hi Gina! Welcome to Swap-Bot! So glad you're here! You are sooo going to LOVE it here! There are so many fun swaps, and this is such an amazing community of fun, talented, and creative people!
Welcome also to the 'I ♥heart♥ Mail Art - February' swap --- thank you for joining my swap! If you have any questions, please feel free to holler! Hope to 'meet you in the mail' often! :)
p.s. it is always a good idea to fill out your profile with as much information as possible. All your likes, favourite colours, crafts, hobbies, wishlists, etc. The more specific info you have, the happier your mailbox will be! It makes it much easier for your swap partner to create/choose items that you suit you perfectly if you have a well filled-out profile. You will notice on most of the swaps that one of the main requirements is to have a well-filled out profile --- that is the case with this swap as well.
So please just take a moment and fill out your profile with as much detail as possible, so that all your current and future swap partners will be able to send you swaps you will be happy to receive!
Happy Swapping! :)
Justene :)
