I grew up in the beautiful Oregon country side outside of Eugene, my graduating class had 21 seniors. I was born with a genetic mutation called Cystic Fibrosis, affecting my lungs and mostly digestion, but am in good health! (technically disabled). I am was approved and receive a brand new breakthrough drug called Trikafta, and wow, it's totally transformed the quality of my life! Sooo grateful!
Let's see... My whole adult life I've been interested in spirituality, being kind, compassionate, and mindful... all that good stuff has ben a sort of ideal for me(by no means am I perfect!). One time I went to a 10 day retreat of silence and meditation, Vipassana. I only made it 5... I had an emotional breakdown! Not good timing I guess haha, ask me about it π
Recently, after a very emotionally invested relationship was suddenly ended, launched me into a seeking. I am tired of suffering! I'm so so happy and grateful for finding Gnosticism... ask me about it! Pretty much it is about how to develop the heart and mind in, equalibrium, and awakening the consciousness in an experiential and practical way! It looks at and uses esoteric teaching and practices from all religions around the world (Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism etc.) annnd... It's amazing. Anyone with any sort of religious background can utilize these teachings to enhance their religion and/or life... It's not based on belief but experience ;Gnosis. I could keep talking and talking about it... I'm a beginner big time but, it's working! Sound interesting? :) I am into cures and health remedies that are not well known or are being deliberately suppressed by powers that be, like mega-dosing of Vit. C, among several other cool and helpful healthy things :) Ask me if there's something I know that would help your specific health issue β€οΈ
I love plants and growing things... I love microbes and fungi! Making compost teas and other homemade plant foods.
Fountain pens, ink, paper.... It's my biggest obsession. I journal and write A LOT. I "pen-able" people if I ever get the chance. Have you ever used a fountain pen? Do you use them?
2 dogs, 1 cat... They're my best friends.
I like to travel/take trips...camping. I have a Dodge Ram Van that's 3years older than me! I'm definitely a "country folk" and am the most comfortable out from any city or town π
I am looking forward to hopefully find a penpal, or two! My first and only pen-pal was when I was very super young, somehow it was arranged because we both had CF, it was very short lived.
When I write letters they are usually a good few pages! I'm an open person who likes to talk more personally... not really "small talk" but really, ANY letter is a good letter!
My favorite type of music is live music! I'm a lover of most all music. It's hard to say what my favorite is but, electronic, meditative when I'm working on a project or writing. Lots of podcasts and lectures.
I loved the Dark Tower series by Stephan King, and a couple more of his. Frank Herbert! Dune series... other old sci-fi books, I'm a fan.
The Gnostic Movement -Samael Aun Weor, I started reading his books on practical spirituality.
The Seat of the Soul is an AMAZING book, highly recommend
I watch CSI and Criminal Minds with my Mom :) but... Honestly I avoid those now. I watch and listen to YouTube
Compost tea! Harvesting and propagating different types of microbes from different areas, as well as different plant foods carefully crafted from the foliage or fruits! I like to make miniature scale paper and wooden chopstick pyramids. Sometimes I cut and bind my own journals. Woodworking, making doghouses, fences, raised beds, other random tools and implements :)
