I am a preschool teacher by day, and a crafter by night. I love making things for school (felt board stories, games, displays) and at home I do art journals, scrapbooking, cards, etc. Oh yeah, and I have a serious love for pens!
I am also a mom of a 22 year old son...he's now in college 2 1/2 hours north of here.
I like to hike, play in the snow, dance, write, and read. I would love to travel.
I LOVE TO SWAP...and if you have not received something from me, please let me know so I can resend!
I love books and have gone through different book reading and collecting periods in my life. There was the nutrition and natural healing book stage, then the children's book stage, the teaching book stage (I have a huge collection of preschool teaching books!), and now I am starting to collect art journaling, rubber stamping, collage type books.
I read historical fiction (love medieval times) and love to be transported to another era through reading. I also like science fiction and fantasy. Let me know if you have read any books in these genres and can recommend!
Recent favorites: The Dovekeepers, The Blade Itself, Game of Thrones, 11/22/63,
I am a member at paperbackswap.com and if you want to trade for credits, that may be possible!
if you looked at my ipod playlists, you'd find everything from the Beatles, to Cake, Erykah Badu to Elvis, lots of dance tunes (old school, YMCA, Michael Jackson), Michael Franti, and a lot of kids stuff too!
Ok...mostly I do papercrafting of one sort or another. I like to make cards using rubber stamps, glimmer mist, embossing...I use my cricut machine and sizzix. I have an art journal....lots of collage work and lettering/doodling...I make inchies and hope to have enough for a collage some day! I make games for my preschool kids, home-made books, felt stories. I am learning how to sew...yea! inspiration from you: your artwork/craft!

I'm hanging in there and appreciate your kindness!
Hi! I got your green inchies today. Thanks! I teach high school English--I don't think I could handle the pre-school age! I am on Goodreads. There are so many good books to recommend! I did a favorite book bracket for a swap and my top books ended up being The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, and Blindness by Jose Saramago. Maybe you'll like them.
Happy Birthday!
I updated the rules in The Bargain Boutique and asked that everyone read and sign them. Unfortunately I don't see your name so I had to remove you. If you'd like to rejoin please let me know. Thanks!
No way, its not weird to say you liked it. We are all fascinated by death in some sort as it is unknown to us;) I hope we get to swap again sometime too!
