Hello, My name is Debbie. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm married and have 2 grown daughters. I volunteer at a library a couple days a week. Before we "retired" to New Mexico, I worked at an elementary school In California as a teacher's aid for Special Ed for 23 years.

I'm a left-handed night owl.I like cooking new recipes. Love honey-walnut shrimp. Also like making journals, buying journals, reading, art journaling, mail, art mail, photography, writing letters, sending notes, postage stamps, retro things, shabby chic things, 50's diners, neon signs, handwriting, cookbooks, recipes, recipe cards, notecards, Starbucks java chip frappucinnos, magazines, bookstores, and books. I usually have more than one book going at one time. There are just so many books and they just keep publishing new ones!

One of my old favorite movies is Arsenic and Old Lace.

Favorite old TV shows were Dark Shadows and I Love Lucy. Favorite recent ones are HGTV decorating shows, cooking shows, late night talk shows, Chicago Fire, and the new Trading Spaces.

Dislikes: Tea, anime, rose-scented products, scrapbooking, foam stickers, Harlequin romance-type novels.

Likes: books, zines, recipes, languages, chocolate, weather, chocolate, Chinese food, journals, dragonflies, pens, pink, autumn/fall, winter, paper, the smell of rain, the smell of jasmine, washi tape, vintage, coffee cup images, cards with glitter or without glitter, notecards, and air conditioning. There's nothing like opening the door to an air conditioned place on a hot day.

For recipe swaps, I like almost anything except spicy hot foods or canned string beans. Love tuna recipes, crock pot recipes, or just about anything else!

For postcard swaps: I like all kinds of colorful postcards including homemade.

For book swaps: I like reading a variety of different genres: Fiction, non-fiction, mystery, science fiction. The only thing I probably wouldn't like is Harlequin Romance-type books.

For Christmas: I do celebrate Christmas and enjoy Christmas themes.
