I live in TX with my dogs Bailey, Sweetie, and my cat Sgt Orange. I have about 5 pen pals whom I love writing to. Some are from the US and some are overseas. I love to read and write and be crafty.
Someday I hope to travel overseas and see all the breath taking views I see on TV, online, and in picture books. I hope to catch a fantastic scene with my camera. Something I can look back on and remember that I was there... I actually got to see it first hand. Someday.....
I love stickers and stationery. Since I do a lot of snail mail writing I'm always in search of these things. I am a horrible straight line writer however so I'm a big fan of lined stationery haha.
I make beaded earrings on occasion. I love beads, any shape size and color.
I LOVE photography. I go no where without some sort of camera with me. You never know when you're going to run across that perfect shot. Someday I hope to get those cards with the picture hole in the front, and start putting my pictures in them to send to friends and family. (or for a swap!)
When I go to the library or bookstore to get a book I pick out books by their covers. I know that sounds crazy...since you never judge a book by it's cover... But I like to read pretty much anything and this method has yet to fail me.
The last few books I read that I absolutely loved were: The Next Thing on my List by Jill Smolinski and Timoleon Vieta Come Home (A sentimental journey) by Dan Rhodes. I also just recently read Modoc by Ralph Helfer... I recommend it to anyone.. I cried, I laughed, I cried some more.. it's excellent.
I love the way books smell and feel. There's nothing better than curling up with a blanket and cocoa on a cold rainy/snowy evening and entering the world of someone else.
Posted postcards. Not just bought and sent in an envelope, but actually written on and posted from the location of the postcards home. Someday I hope to have a posted postcard from everywhere in the world.
I collect old fashioned keys. Not like a key to your door, but the ones that look like the key to the Secret Garden or the key to the grandfather clock.
I also collect candles. Although I don't really collect them and keep them, I use them. I love candles. My favorite scents are the woodlands one. The ones that usually come out around Christmas are fantastic. I also like the the ocean smells. Mmmm... candles.
My favorites colors are hot pink, blue, and black. In all reality though I love all colors.
I love to cook and bake. I am always trying out new things. I have quite a recipe collection and am always looking to add to it. I'm a big fan of easy and quick, or hard with few ingredients... haha.
I love paintings, puppies, and piglets. I love those little words that you put on your refrigerator to make poems. I love the stars, faeries, and colorful markers. Actually I'm quite obsessed with stars... I love the way they look drawn, I love the way they look in the sky, I love their shape... I just love stars. I love nature, trees, pinecones.. the smell of freshly cut grass.
My all time favorite show is the Golden Girls. I own all the seasons and have watched them about 3 or 4 times back to back. My second favorite is Murder, She Wrote. I have watched all 12 seasons a million times over!
I love watching The Biggest Loser and American Idol as well. I'm not really a big fan of reality TV, but for some reason I am incredibly hooked on these shows.
My favorite movie is Thelma and Louise!

What a cool profile you have! I, too, love books, The Golden Girls, photography, puppies and nature. It's nice to "meet" you!
I don't remember if I thanked you for angeling the Book Email swap? Regardless, thanks! :) <3
Thank you for the Duluth cards--I love, love them all! I really appreciate your doing the private swap, and can see my Mom smiling down about my having these in my collection. It has helped make a tough week better (she passed away March 3rd, twelve years ago now). I'm sure we'll run into each other again, and I'll be looking forward to it.
I got the first 2 postcards of the Diary PC Swap today - omg, Love them both!! =) I cannot wait to see the others that you chose for me! <3
Loren, I got the beautiful bracelet and the cute stamps as well...that star bag is so sweet. Thank you for everything. It brightened my day :)
