Tired, 31-year-old mama of 2 boys. Butcher, baker, candlestick maker, cub scout leader, housekeeper, crafty diva, favorite aunt, chef, boo-boo kisser, play-doh artist, dog groomer, stain washer-outer, Sunday School music coordinator, parent advisory committee-er, hmm . . . need I say more?
(I do not have any allergies!)
I grew up literally "in a craft store". My mother and father ran a family HANDMADE craft store out of the front 2 rooms of our house. I helped with all aspects from creating to selling to delivering orders. I spent many a sleepless night working in shifts getting ready for craft fairs and Christmas shows. It's in my blood.
I started my love affair with scrapbooking. Moved on to sewing just last year and my poor scrapbooks are collecting dust. I enjoy just about anything. Sewing, scrapbooking, painting, wood crafts, hairbows, you name it. If there's a tutorial - I can probably make it!
I love to cook and bake so fun cupcake wrappers, sprinkles, etc., and other baking or cooking utensils, accessories, etc., are always fun as well!
You can find some of the things I like under my Etsy favorites.
I'm a child of the 80s, so I still love Madonna, Cyndi, the Go-Gos, etc. I love the Beatles, U2, The Who, the Clash. The list could go on and on so I will spare you the details . . .
I love James Patterson, Laurie Notaro, the Stephanie Plum series, The Stephanie Meyer series, murder mysteries, Chick-Lit, and some classics like To Kill A Mockingbird. One of my all time favorite books (which you must read - is Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.) Of course - I've got many, many favorite children's books. I enjoy collecting the Golden Books from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Oooh this is a good one. Mama Mia is at the top of my list right now. I love a good gory horror movie, but love oldies like old black and white Hitchcock. I am also a big fan of Disney and Pixar (with 2 little boys!)
Hmmm . . Greys, Private Practice, Hells Kitchen, various cooking shows, Whatever Martha!, the Bachelor (I know, I know), 10 Items or Less, Kath & Kim, Nip Tuck, and a few others.
I love fabric and sewing! Favorite colors are pink, sage green, robins egg blue, and any of those combos with brown. I love the muted, subtle colors. I also love retro and kitchy fabrics with the mustard yellows and retro red. My kitchen though is done in the wine/tuscan theme. My living room is robins egg blue and brown.
You can find more of my favorites under my Etsy favorites.
I have not scrapbooked in quite awhile so new and current scrapbook items are always fun too! I have 2 boys and lots of neices to give you an idea of who I frequent scrapbook about!
I love sewing/quilting and scrapbooking magazines. I love candles with a soft, light scent or a kitchen scent (baking, cookies, buttercream, etc.). I love fun/funky scarves to wear with a t-shirt and jeans. I have a love affair with sharpies and pens! I love notepads, stationary. I love funky envelope seals and address labels!
I love M&M's, snickers, anything with peanut butter, chocolate. I love licorice. Starburst. Skittles. I also enjoy trying new candy and treats from other countries.
