I am the mama of three smalls and I graduated college with an art degree and now work in an incredibly uncreative job. I enjoy neatly folded things in my life. I don't look like I like lovely things, but I do. One of my life goals is to have five pairs of identical black pants that fit well and 15 shirts of identical material and color that each possess different collar and sleeve characteristics.
I don't really have favorites, but I like positive, encouraging stuff and weird cheesy stuff like the sound tracks to the Last of the Mohicans, Robin Hood, John Adams, Braveheart.
I adore many different intelligent children's books, and Robert Sabuda and his pop-up book artistry never ceases to amaze me. I like art crit and art history books also, I like a book that engages me. Hitchhikers Guide, Smoke and Mirrors, and On a Pale Horse are also okay ones.
THX 1138, Northfork, Hotel Rwanda, alice, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Cowboy Bebop movie, the fountain, Syriana, Like Water for Chocolate, children of men, fiddler on the roof, west side story, Pi, babel, the island, equilibrium. Just weird random stuff.
I love reconfiguring things and finding pretty arrangements.....often Haim Steinbach style. Oh, and I pretty much want to do anything to make an interesting environment for my children to grow up in.
