Hiiiii! I'm Melanie or as people like to call me: Mel. I am 32 years old from the Netherlands. On 24-8-2023 I got the diagnosis of autism and I have a very hard time accepting it.

I am a pretty big nerd. Not because I am wearing glasses. But I am a writer and Dutch author. So I love to read. Romance books. Sometimes Thrillers. And I used to read a lot of fantasy, but I don't seem to enjoy those anymore. I also watch a lot of tv shows and movies.

In 2014, I graduated in health care and before that I studied three years animal care. I like it both, but I think I enjoy retail more.

I have this thing for notebooks. More like an addict because I have at least twenty empty ones because I journal a lot. So yeah, someone who journals needs a lot of those.

And I am a sushi addict. I can eat that every day for the rest of my life!

I am not allergic to anything, but my skin responds good to egg, avocado or anything with rose. I love face masks!

We do not have a bath, so please do not send me a bath bomb.

I do not use make-up. So please no lipsticks or eyeshadow etc.

I love food.

I love chocolate (white is my favourite), cheese snacks, cookies and other candy.

Furthermore, I really want to try Japanese snacks. Also, I would like to try different kind of Kitkat. We only have the red and dark here.

I had some Pop tarts as well. I had strawberry and confetti.

I am a reader and an author myself. My books are only written in Dutch, and I sometimes join other authors in bundles.

I love to read as well, and I read a lot. A few of the authors I read are: Sarah J Maas, Lily White, Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy, Stacey Marie Brown, Emily Rath, Sierra Simone, Clarissa Wild, Rebecca Yarros and so many more.

The Netherlands mail system is very slow at the moment. I always send my mail on time! I put transparent tape around my envelope, because it happened too many times it arrives in pieces. With the surrounding tape, it gives some protection.

We don't get post on Sunday and Monday. Nothing gets sent on that day as well. So, we only get mail from Tuesday till Saturday. Mail that is posted before 17.30 will leave the same day. Mail that is posted after that time, will leave the next day.

Sometimes I re-use envelopes!
