Hi there,😃

I'm Nicole, 54 years old and I live in the Ruhr area of Germany. I'm divorced and have no children by choice. Professionally, I switched from heavy metal 🤘 to precious metals in August of 2016.

I've been working as a shop manager for gothic and alternative clothing and accessories for eight years, now I am full time employed in precious metal retail.

Update 11/07/2022: I have to vent my anger here: When creating swap letters, I try to use as much weight of contents as the corresponding postage allows. I have now twice had to re-frank swap letters at the post office because they were a gram or two too heavy, even though I had weighed them at home. Not only very annoying that the postage costs so much more, but especially that the lovingly designed envelopes are pasted with additional stamps that cover up the design and that I could have put even more stuff inside. I am so annoyed with the rigid system of the German Post.

Update 01/12//2021: When sending out my swap today, I learned from the lady in the post office that international letters, based on a decision of the Universal Postal Union, may only contain paper documents since 2019. She asked me, if there were any products in my letter, because it was so thick and heavy. I don't know, if it could cause problems in mailing, when swappers include goodies like tea or washi tape samples in their swap letters. The other option would be international parcel delivery, but this to be honest, is over my budget.

• people who take the fun out of swap-bot by flaking, not rating or even not reclaiming swaps!
• loose glitter (known as the herpes of the crafting world for a reason). Please don't send any. I like and craft with glitter, but it should be fixed with (spray) glue or even hairspray so it doesn't spread all over the place.

In general I have a bit of an eclectic taste, am easy to please and appreciate what is sent to me, as long as I can tell that someone has tried. Since I don't have every type and style of craft supply either, I try at least to avoid things on my swap partner's dislike list. My goal is to make it as enjoyable and fun for the recipient as I can. I do not do a lot of swaps here, but if I join a swap, I always send my and I always rate my partner's swap.

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, everything that appeals to me, but mainly to rock, hard rock and metal - especially stoner and psychedelic rock and post metal. I really love going to concerts, listening to live music. To randomly name some of my favourite bands/artists: Monster Magnet, Karma To Burn, Mark Lanegan, Colour Haze, Isis, Neurosis, Opeth, Tool ...

I really enjoy most kinds of papercrafting like cardmaking, making journals, embellishments, rubberstamping etc., but it is a hobby for me, I am not professional or perfect in this or an artist. Sometimes I try to draw, water colour or do a little mixed media too. Stationery is another weak point, also I decorate my planner and keep a junk journal/glue book type of journal. I like to be environment-friendly and re- and upcycle things like nice packaging.♻️

craft supplies: rubberstamps, clear/polymer stamps, washi tape (made of rice paper, please no plastic tapes, if possible), shaped paperclips, beautiful postage stamps, ... almost everything!

colours: black, purples, teal blue, blues, turquoise (plus orange on Halloween) are my favourites, but I like all colours, except a large amount of neon colours.
