Hello, my name is Rosalie and I live in Taos, New Mexico with my husband, son, Sammy the Siamese kitty and Brownie, the Australian Shepherd. My husband's family has lived here for generations and we're currently trying to get our cattle and sheep operation up and running. I've been wanting to learn about homesteading and I'm planning on building a chicken coop this year and planting a garden. I don't have a green thumb whatsoever but there is always a first for everything.

My hobbies are reading (I'm a sucker for a good romance), embroidering, baking, being in the high mountains (Canjilon), walking and I love history. I enjoy learning about the Old West and learning about their history by first visiting the local cemetery. It's kind of cliche, but I loved Tombstone, AZ. There is so much history packed into such a little town. I'm currently interested in learning about Catherine Parr and Henry VIII's other wives as well as the indigenous peoples that have lived in New Mexico and the Four Corners.

My favorite color is purple although I am leaning more toward turquoise these days and I love sunflowers and any type of wildflower.

I am Catholic but I respect all religions and viewpoints.

These are always the two that pop into my head but my favorite genre is romance, but it does need an interesting story line. I do enjoy reading pretty much anything but I do have a really hard time reading fantasy. For example, I did enjoy listening to the audible versions of Harry Potter but I wasn't able to get into the books.

My favorite type of tea is chamomile but I love really good coffee. I don't dislike any teas but I'm not really a fan of green or black tea. I do enjoy peppermint or rooibos tea from time to time. If you ever get the chance to take the tour of the Celestial tea factory in Denver, CO, do it!

I love chocolate and caramels but pretty much will eat any type of sweet. I do love the caramel filled cadbury eggs but I've never met a chocolate that I didn't like.

I listen to pretty much anything but I do love country prior to 2000. Some of my favorite artists are Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn.
