Hi, my name is Charmaine and I live in Greenwood, Florida. My husband and I moved here to retire. Born and raised in Miami. I worked as a Nursing Assistant in a nursing home in the Memory Care unit. Quite a challenge. My last job was a sterilization tech at the University of Miami. My prior jobs were with Southern Bell and Driver Licenses. I am married and have no children, only the furry kind. I have 3 cats.

I love to collect and sell vintage Florida postcards! I also love the old victorian greeting postcards. I love to read, collect seashells, gardening, and thrift stores. I love Antiques, especially from the 1940s through the 1960s. Love the 1960s flower pins/brooches. I love all kind of vintage things. Sometimes I buy things just because they are old. I love little figurines, NESTING DOLLS (aka Matroyska dolls) old books, vintage jewelry, anything to do with National Airlines (My mom worked for them), postcards, and so much more. I love EPHEMERA! I don't really have extra time for CRAFTS, but I still like CRAFT items! I have been known to do CROSS STITCH, but again, don't really have the extra time. Paper items and things used in CRAFTS would be nice. I can always find something to use them for! I love playing the PIANO. Not that good, but can still enjoy playing. Love GARDENING. I have a GREENHOUSE full of Orchids, and South Florida plants! Yes, I live in North Florida! LOL!

I love to read different versions of the Bible, cozy murder mysteries, old Whitman books from the 50s and 60s like Annette Funicello, Donna Parker, Ginny Gordon, etc. My mom used to call them "no brainers". They are just fun to read, you don't have to use your brain trying to figure out what's going on..

I also love books about the Civil War and stories taking place in Florida, and the South.

I love the old tv shows from the 50s and 60s.

I love old Black and White Movies, especially ones from the 1940s. I love Cary Grant, Dean Martin, Myrna Loy, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford and most any of them. Any movie with Cary Grant in it! He's my favorite.

I love just about everything EXCEPT Rap and NEW Country. Love the old country like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, etc. Favorites are Oldies from the 50's and 60's. Love Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Big Band, Classical, 70's. Also love southern gospel and old hymns.

My favorite dog is a Lab, I love all kinds of cats, rabbits, horses, and just about all animals!

Favorite flowers are lily of the valley, peonies, orchids, pansies, violets, lilac, cosmos, daisies, zinnias just to name a few! Love them all though.

Favorite birds are flamingo, parrot, peacock, cardinals, buntings, finches, bluebirds, egrets just to name a few! Love them all too!

Favorite colors are Pink, Aqua and Lavender. Love drinking coffee, love all types of foods. I love shelling, and am still on the quest for finding a Junonia.

I will ALWAYS send to my partners, and ALWAYS strive to receive hearts too. I take time in selecting and sending items that my partners would love to receive. Even if a postcard only has washi tape and a few stickers, I spent time looking at your profile, and decorating according to things you like! IF for ANY reason you either don't receive an item from me or you aren't happy with what I've sent, PLEASE let me know. I would NEVER flake on anyone either. I want to make all my partners smile when they receive anything from me.

I love my quiet time in the mornings reading my mom's Bible. So many things she underlined and wrote next to certain scriptures. My favorite books are Psalms and Proverbs. Too many favorite scriptures to mention. I like to consider myself a Christian. I'm certainly not perfect, but I strive each day to be more like Jesus. I am NOT offended by receiving CHRISTIAN religious items. I like to send little CHRISTIAN pass it cards with my swaps, to encourage the receiver. I find the CHRISTIAN swaps are such a blessing, because you don't have to worry about offending anyone. I know each is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect that. It just amazes me to read a profile and see how many people do not want any religious items. Oh well..... I am not one of those people. I love the LORD and am not offended by receiving CHRISTIAN religious items.
