Hello, my name is Astrid.

I’m located here in Northland, New Zealand – the subtropical part of the country but I grew up on an island in the Southeast Asia. I live with my husband along with our cats Rhaego and Selene.

I love the beach, islands, and nature as I grew up with it in my childhood. Now, the view and environment here in New Zealand is the exact place I want to be seeing sunrises and moonrises every time.

I follow the Green Witch path and considered myself still a novice witch. I have a vegetable garden as it evolves with companion planting with edible and medicinal flowers. Nature nurtures my soul as I draw energy from it. Striving to be slowly self-sufficient with homegrown produce. I’m currently taking a horticulture course to get my skills to the next level.

Home is where my heart is that’s why it's sacred. I adopt simple GW recipes from time to time because I love cooking and baking (simple recipes).

In magickal ways, I’m into astrology, palmistry, tarot, and more to learn about herbalism and moonology. My power is intuition though I have a lot to discover and unlock in that field.

My favourite season is summer when everything is in full bloom but spring is my time sprucing up the garden.

I started gardening when I came to NZ as a beginner with just planting according to season and instructions on the seedling labels. Eventually, I learned to improve and currently gaining more knowledge.

I love taking photos and I appreciate both digital and film. Landscapes are my forte.

Preserving letter writing/snail mail (see crafts), loves typewriters, film photography with a collection of film cameras (range finder 35mm, point and shoot, Lomography cams).

Snail Mails / Mail Art

I love writing letters and receiving one. I like to make themed mails and decorating envelopes. Recycling and upcycling is my first mantra. I scavenge home items particularly papers that can be reused but sometimes I can't resist nice patterned papers/illustrations (on sale) and die cuts to make my art. Thrift/Op shops are my source of vintage and old books that I sacredly dissect to make use of awesome illustrations.

My writing tools include fountain pens, dip pens, nibs and fountain pens. I'm particular with the papers I write on to compensate the fountain pen inks (avoiding bleeding and feathering).

I like making DIY cards / mail folders / flip books.

90's kid here, I'm on the heavy metal, rock n' roll, and alternative side. \m/
