Rose is an writer freshly out of high school, working as a waitress and planning on college at some point, at some school. Her hobbies include photography(photoshoping), reading(historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy) and nitpicking the grammar of those around her.
Right now, Rose's favorite band is The Decemberists. She also enjoys music by Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Franz Ferdinand, Gary Jules, Iron and Wine, The Old 97's, Regina Spektor, Secret Machines and The Be Good Tanyas. See if any of those fit into the same genre.
Recently Rose saw Meet the Robinsons and liked it a lot. Old favorites include Donnie Darko, Fifth Element, and Boondock Saints. She occasionaly wastes a few hours watching girly romance movies, and stupid comedies. Horror holds not interest for her; she watched all three Saw movies on her laptop, alone, in the dark, and decided they were extreamly well made and that if she would be happy if she never had to see any of them again. Kids movies have their place in Rose's heart, including the old wonderful Disney movies, and various anime movies, like Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and all that good stuff.
Rose has her DVR set to automatically record all new episodes of all three CSI shows and two od the Law and Orders (Criminal Intent and SVU). Nearly all the other shows fall into that category of crime shows. Bones, Criminal Minds, Crossing Jordan. House is one very important one. It used to record the amazing Arrested Development, but then that ended and everyone was sad, because it was the funniest thing ever. When she's really bored, she'll watch things like Will and Grace, Reba and Friends, or that channel with all the redecorating shows, that are all quite terrible but then Rose is really quite bored at this point.
Rose knows how to knit and crotchet as well as weave, and really quite enjoys all three, thought she doesn't do any as much as she wishes she would. If you consider Photoshopping photos nearly beyond recognition, then theres a fourth. If you count baking, then theres a fifth. It might not be a "craft", but Rose really loves to do it, and uses any excuse to bake a cake or some scones. She regrets that her logical side is adamant that sending baked goods through the mail would be a complete failure, else she would start up that swap right away. Paper is one of Rose's favorite things, and so she enjoys all those types of crafts. Card making and cutting and pasting, creating of things and whatever.

Thanks for the nice comments! I did make the bookmarks. The card was an actual super-sized card. I just cut it so the rounded corners were cut off. (My other partner for the newbie swap got the other half.)
Oh, Rose just thinks that third person is a fun way to talk about herself. It makes her seem less self-involved, and more like it's someone else praising her or whatever. And it is unlikely that she is mentally ill, although sometimes the people around her aren't so sure. The nitpicking of grammar mostly relates to conjugating verbs and misplaced commas, and less to do with what person a person speaks in. You also think that second person is fun, although you must admit it's a little confusing in this situation and you plan on stopping soon.
Jen, the Angry Spinner, was, like Jo an, also wondering why Rose writes in the third person. Jen wonders why a person whose hobbies include "nitpicking the grammar of those around her" would chose to use the third person. Jen is happy that Rose appears to be third person singular, thus likely not mentally ill, just quirky. However, Jen notices that she is referring to herself in the third person, and suspects that Rose is contagious. :-) --Jen aka Angry Spinner
I'm curious about your profile - you have chosen to write in the third person. Is there a reason for this?
