I'LL BE ON SWAP-BOT HIATUS, FOLKS.
As much as I wanted to join so many cool swaps in my groups, I don't have the time to commit to swapping. I thought it best to go on leave rather than find myself in over my head. I hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for the wonderful swaps I've received and most importantly for the swap partners I've met in the past year. You've helped me a lot in my grief journey.
(P.S. I realized I accidentally deleted most of my profile. ARGHHHHH!!! I should have previewed this message first. :( Anyway, I'll put it together again when I get a chance. I'll still be logging on here from time to time to check messages and check group updates I'm a member of. Peace!

I'm a fan of JRR Tolkien and his Lord of the Rings books. Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy. C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia. I also like Ray Bradbury, Roger Zelazny and Neil Gaiman. Byatt, Joan Didion, Erica Jong, Harper Lee, E. Annie Proulx, Jeanette Winterson. As for poetry, I love Pablo Neruda and e.e. cummings' works. Right now, I'm exploring Sylvia Plath's poetry. I also read non-fiction I like the works of humorist David Sedaris. His essays make me laugh and I could use some laughter these days.

My interest in music is eclectic. I don't have a favorite genre of music. But if you strong-arm me, I'd say I like Queen, The Beatles, and Frank Sinatra. I've been known to sing along to Japanese pop music, The Carpenters and ABBA. But I love playing bass for Metallica, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and Lynyrd Skynyrd songs on Rock Band. I also listen to blues. Oh and I like music from certain musicals like Oliver!, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Wicked, Billy Elliot, Disney's Newsies, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast. (I know I can be a closet Disney fangirl sometimes...;-) I like alternative and indie music. Barenaked Ladies, Gorillaz, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure and The Police are all-time favorites and some 80s new wave.

Haha, I totally cracked up on what you said about needle felting being a stress reliever for practicing voodoo on the "sources" for the stress. HAhaha, good thinking. I am off to relieve some stress now...wink.
