Response: Yaaay, so glad you enjoyed it. I'm the opposite, good at baking but still learning about cooking. I subscribe to several of those meal services (Blue Apron, Hello Fresh) and its been such a positive improvement in my skills :) They need to come out with one for baking!!

First thing I thought when reading your card was ::squeee:: MERMAIDS! ... right before you said known for mermaids LOL! I think they'd be fun to see sometime. I'll have to check out the book you're reading, sounds interesting!
Response: Haha, I am always surprised when people have heard of my little town. I live just across the street from the Mermaid shows, it always make for interesting convo and the actual show is pretty cute. I will probably go soon with my baby niece finally. Yes, read the book - it was actually really insightful. I love NDT because he always makes you question what we accept as common knowledge regarding science.

Response: Haha, thank you for this amazing and amusing comment! Oh, girl, I know. My niece was actually born last Friday and she is amazing and healthy! So, the daughter asked that the mom not be there for the delivery and she not only called the hospital 9373783 times but then she came to the hospital (where they asked she not be let in the delivery room) just to see if the baby was born yet then left before my brother/sister-in-law were going to call her into the room. Then, I don't know if I wrote about my niece being born with a cleft lip but the first thing she said when she saw her was "It's okay, we'll get you fixed" -- like she was some kind of animal or something was wrong with her - she's perfect and beautiful and yes has a lot ahead of her but she's healthy and so so cute. My family has decided to not hold back anymore because now my niece is involved and we will protect her no matter what. <3 Thank you for not thinking im a mean person but I just needed to get the stress ive been dealing with out to someone. Thanks for listening and you are so right - karma will catch up to you.

Comment: Thanks for the awesome postcard! The camera embellishment, all of the letters of my name, and the film strip elements all made it intact! I am so impressed with the glue job you did! I actually cheated on mine and covered some of it with tape. Thanks again!
Response: I'm so glad that it made it all together and that you like it :-) <3 These homemade postcard swaps are so much fun! I used Tacky glue and permanent glue runners to get everything to stay, haha. I usually laminate mine though.

Secondly, I am so glad you were able to send this rattlesnake PC to someone who totally loves it, extra hearts! <3 <3 Poor card has been waiting for years to find it's perfect home, lol :D I also love Into The Wild, though I've only read the book and haven't seen the movie. It reminds me of a kids book called "My Side of the Mountain" about a boy who leaves the city and his family and lives in the woods. As a child, I often daydreamed about such possibilities and still do!!

Comment: Oh Tiffany, I am so very sorry to hear about your father. Is he going to go in for surgery? This sounds weird, but someone in my family had something very similar happen. The doctors were able to fix the problem with surgery. I am sad for you and your family, that is a really sad thing to go through. Make sure that you have a good doctor looking on him, and get a second opinion if necessary. Best of luck, and happy swapping!
Response: Sarah, thank you for your kind words. Well, he was in the Hospital for 8 days then spent two weeks in a rehab. He came home a few days ago finally. He has had a bunch of therapy since then trying to get him to be able to walk again. He is completely dependent on a walker now but still struggling to stand/walk. Luckily, he is meeting with a neurosurgeon and other doctors soon to figure out a solution or a way that he can live with this situation if it means having a nurse 24/7. We are keeping positive and giving him lots of support, we'll get through it, right?

Response: It was for a really great cause and the support from the town and other people made it worth it :) But I learned a valuable lesson about wearing good shoes that day, my feet took weeks to recover so i'm going to train sooner this year. I'm hoping next year that I can do all 20 miles.

Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it and you need to come back! This past spring was the first time I really got to explore the parks and now i'm considering getting a seasonal pass next year. I don't care how old a person is, you can't hate disney world!
