I live in South Carolina, USA with my husband, and my chickens. We live in a tiny town called Lynchburg which is only about a mile wide and has a population of less than 400. We have 2 little convenience stores,a bank and a post office, and we recently got a Dollar General (yay!)!! I love it here so much because it is so peaceful and there is no traffic. I work from home things online, making custom cakes, and occasionally doing custom artwork like drawing portraits or small murals. I have an Etsy shop where I sell things that I make, like jewelry or journals, as well as other interesting vintage items that I come across in estate sales, yard sales, flea markets, etc. I got married in 2008 and my husband is my favorite person in the whole world! He works as a lineman (puts up electrical lines) and I would be thrilled to receive anything lineman related to surprise him with! One of my favorite things to do is cook. I like to cook all types of food especially Southern style food and I love to see peoples reaction when they taste my food. My Grandma raised me and among other things, she taught me how to cook. She was a wonderful southern cook as well as an overall wonderful person. I miss her so much and I feel blessed to have had her in my life. She taught me so much and I hope that I can make a difference in someone’s life like my Grandma did in mine. She raised her 2 children as well as several grandchildren. Her house was always the safe haven for anyone in need. I will never forget the way she always made us feel safe and loved. During the last 3 or so years of her life, she moved in with me and my husband and I was her caretaker. Caring for someone 24/7 can be a challenge but it was a job I would do again if I needed to. I will always treasure the time I had with her and the long talks we had. I will also never forget how delicious her homemade biscuits were!! Especially with some of her homemade fig preserves! She was the person I was closest with for my entire life and I always say that we were “twin flames” because we were always together! We got along so well from as far back as I can remember and she was absolutely a mother to me! I thank God for her and for the fact that she took me in to raise even after she had raised so many other children! She passed in 2021 and it still hurts that she is gone but I know she is in a better place!
I love to go to the beach and love anything related to the ocean. I love to collect seashells and would be so excited and thankful if you were to send me some seashells from your area! I collect postcards, (especially any vintage or linen postcards, "Greetings from" postcards, holiday, chickens, birds, owls, animals, pin up girls, flowers, butterflies, and weird, unusual and funny ones), postage stamps, chicken themed things, owl things, and anything vintage, antique or unusual. I love receiving things from other parts of the world And I would love to travel around the world and see as much of it as I can in the short time I have here :)
My husband and I have several TV shows that we enjoy including Family Guy, Ghost Adventures (I love those ghost hunting shows) and Vikings, The Servant, The Walking Dead, Yellowstone, Hunters, and anything we find on the firestick that looks interesting!
I love anything vintage, old fashioned, antique or traditional. I sometimes think maybe I should have been around a few centuries ago, lol. I like anything chicken related. I have raised chickens since I was little.
One of the best things I’ve gotten was from my first swap. I don’t remember what the swap was but I got a small flat rate box that was STUFFED with several bags that contained a variety of items like beads, charms, buttons, keys, ribbon pieces, lace pieces, wooden shapes, rhinestones, cabochons, junk jewelry pieces, small stickers, small pieces of ephemera, die cuts, puzzle pieces, marbles, miniatures, metal shapes, tokens, small ornaments, tiny erasers, just a huge assortment of stuff! I used that stuff for so many of the projects I did through the years! It was great! I’d love to get another package like that!
I absolutely LOVE to drink coffee and would love to get any samples of coffee or K-cups.
My favorite colors are turquoise, teal, purple, pink, and green.
I have recently fallen in love with those little craft kits where you build a tiny bakery or a tiny candy shop. I love the kits that have tons of little pieces that make the scene look real like tiny books or lamps or a teeny pair of glasses laying on a side table. The book nook kits are especially adorable! I love adult embroidery craft kits, cross stitch kits, sewing kits and latch hook rugs also! So many beautiful designs are available! I’ve also gotten into doing the diamond paintings! It’s relaxing but my ADHD causes me to want to start another one before I finish the first one! That’s the reason why right now I have 3 partially done diamond paintings, 2 partially finished cross stitching projects, a half finished latch hook rug, and several beaded earrings that I’ve only made one of and haven’t made the match yet! I also have a basket full of “yo-yo” quilt pieces that I haven’t made into a quilt yet! Maybe one day!!

Welcome to the Paper Secrets Society!
Jamie, Thank you for the cricket wooden trinket box and the Virginia Beach see thru dolphin with shells and beads inside. It was the TF April '22 stocking stuffer (theme, send something odd or weird). I am taking them to work tomorrow for my window sill. Thanks again for joining my swap. You did a great job.
So glad you like the rainbow, unicorn sparkly magic glue page! :)
How wild! My postcards were not sprayed with anything. Glad they’ve traveled with a nice scent, at least. So crazy to here they smell!
Thank you for joining my swap!!!
I know I've already rated you but have been looking at your journal for the 4th or 5th time and just wanted you to know how much I love it!! Thank you again!! 💙
So happy you’ve joined the paper clips swap!!! 🦋
Tell your husband that he's being thought of today as crews work on some downed power lines in our area. My house, thankfully, is not one that is affected, but it's bitterly cold out and I feel very grateful for those who are out in the frigid temperatures working to get power back to the families that are affected. When I learned about the outage, I automatically thought of you and your lineman... :-)
