Hello from Oregon. I am now 58 (almost 59) and eligible for some senior discounts now! OMG! I am happily married to my husband. 35 years of friendship and soon to be 30 years of marriage. I am also a mom to two Whippets - Kona and Sadie. -- and a mom to two humans and four grandchildren. I am a craft-a-holic, yarn and fabric hoarder (so my husband says). I just say I'm prepared! I work full time as a Paralegal for a wonderful law firm and in my other time I sew, quilt, knit, crochet, scrapbook - a general crafter at heart and anything in between. I would have to say my "style" is vintage with a feminine flare, love shabby chic!
I listen to just about everything these days. Right now Christmas music, Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole, Kenny Loggins, etc.
Christmas Movies! My favorite regular movies are The Sound of Music, and old Disney movies from when I was young, Herbie th eLove Bug, Swiss Family Robinson, etc.
My favorite things.............
*fabric (vintage and current) -
*yarn - I love to knit and crochet. I like working with all types of yarns from WW to wool, from sock yarn to thick and quick.
*color - my favorite colors are blue and green.
*buttons - I LOVE buttons, vintage and new. I have my grandmother's buttons, my mother's buttons, and some of my aunt's. They have all passed and I love just sifting through them. One of my favorites is rhinestone buttons.
*thrift stores - I love shopping at thrift stores, especially for vintage cotton fabrics.
*socks - I have always loved fun and funky socks. My dream is to knit myself some socks.
*vintage postcards - I have a small collection of vintage valentine postcards. I have a few easter, new years, xmas and others, but Valentines are my fave.
*charm bracelets - I have collected several vintage charm bracelets and have made myself a few. Sterling silver and regular metal.
*vanilla - I love most anything vanilla, ice cream, soap, candles, cereal
*lavender - I love dried lavender for sachets.
*Anything Tim Holtz - I love distressing things, metal charms and keys and tags, anything with numbers on it.
*tea - I like orange/black teas, lemon and mint. No earl grey please.
*aroma therapy oils - vanilla, lavender, orange, sandlewood, mint.
*Whippets - I love this breed of dogs, we have two, Sadie and Kona, so anything to do with Whippets, love them. 2023 they will be 15 years old - Valentines' Day is their birthday!
Things I don't care for, don't need or am allergic to: *onions, tomatoes, garlic and cheese (don't like) *cottonseed oil (allergic) *perfumes (other than natural oils, i.e. vanilla, orange, lavender) (allergic) *coffee - I don't care for coffee
