Response: i forget which brand name they are, but they are a kawaii brand, just very different from the usual flakes. i thought they were fun but was a bit worried if someone would think i did not stick to the brands.

The colors are perfect for me as are the just right amount of bling and vintage key, etc. The crackle paint worked wonderfully on the bird cage--much better than something glossy. You have a great eye for color, texture, and form as I understand them. I wish I'd taken Art Appreciation rather than Drama for my under-grad degree! This card is not being sent to just anyone--it will have to be a REALLY significant occasion! Or I may just keep is on display it in my "paper art studio"!!!!!!!! What a pretentious name for my art room--but, hey, it sounds cool! And the room is filled to max with my paper and altered art supplies and many of the items I've received in swaps that are mixed media. Have a great week-end once it get here--I'm looking forward to all day with my Rissa (we're getting out for some sort of "girl's time") and then I long for time with Nate--he is now a mere 2 months from being 5-5-5-5--yes--5 years old. He goes to kindergarten in 5 1/2 months! What will become of our Fridays together since he was 3 months old? He and I have a huge change we need to prepare for! Thanks for a really beautiful card!

Comment: Feb 19 2013: Hi Laura, the package arrived damp and the envelope was slightly torn. Upon opening it up, the memo sheets were all damp and some of them with red ink on them. The red marker you used for the card must have been water soluble because ink seeped, ruining some of the memo sheets and also the card. The stickers in a zip lock bag arrived fine though. I know it is the fault of the postal services, but perhaps in the future you can use a plastic bag to protect paper stationery lest they arrived badly damaged and unusable like mine did :(. --------------------------- 6 Mar 2013: Thank you for following up on the swap, even though it wasn't necessary and I certainly wasnt looking for a resend so it was a surprise opening the package. Thank you for the lovely memos! :).
Response: i will send you new ones. i used a sharpie so i am surprised it was able to bleed, but if they let it sit with water, then i guess any ink would have. i have no idea what they did to your package. it will go out tomorrow, the 20th.

Comment: Thank you for all the lovely letter sets you sent me. I'm sorry you had to pay a lot on shipping sending them in a box. Next time you can send it with a carboard inside a flat envelope, so you don't have to pay so much on shipping.

Response: it was my first shadow box card and it took quite a bit of time and sizing the cuts to get it right. it was a ton of fun. so happy that you like it! i combined a couple of cartridges to make it happen. thanks!
