Pine cones can't be imported to States with coniferous forests due to a fungus that needs a 2 certain types of host plants found in my backyard, and throughout my region. Luckily the US Forest Service has advised me of the best methods of disposal. Please don't be saddened, I've taken lots of pictures of the little guy and will keep them always.
