Comment: Thank you for the postcard and the explanation behind the image you chose and also the amazing stamps that you used. I love the black and white image that is in a vintage style. I cannot imagine paying that much for a watch! The stamps were very interesting and even a bit sinister. I like Punch and Judy puppets but they always seemed a bit violent 😂. The stamps reminded me of à throwback 1970s UK TV commercial played at the end of night in a show called “Life on Mars”. Thanks again.

I lived in London (Tooting) for 15 years and loved being able to jump on the tube and get around so easily. Live music was my drug, not so easy now I live in the sticks. Comment: Thank you for the great selection of cards. I thoroughly enjoyed your commentary on each of them. I visited the Trinity Parish Church last year when I was in St Augustine. It's in the heart of the old part of town & is a peaceful respire from the hordes of tourists visiting the oldest city in the US. I'd never seen a double maxi card before. I took your tip and listened to the melody of the lovely Song Thrush. What an amazing repertoire! Thanks for sharing the extra imagery from the Financial Times. Some great fodder for collages there! You can be sure I will put them to good use. All together, a delightful swap!

FYI, I received the swap in a USPS plastic bag as both ends of the envelope were open. The adhesive had not failed but the paper itself had torn. All the PCs you listed were still there.
Response: Thanks for letting me know. Royal Mail have introduced new machines which seem to be munching things that sent perfectly fine until a few weeks ago, will be rethinking my strategy going forward! Glad it all got to you anyway ❤️

Response: Oh no, I picked the Whale stamp for you specifically and used my plainest envelope to try and avoid this - what a shame! Royal Mail has put in a bunch of new automated machines and they seem to be wrecking so many letters. 😔 At least the postcards made it to you!

We saw the London Eye, from the Westminster Bridge. It was impressive but the height of The Shard 's observation level was scary enough for me.
We had badgers on our property for years. They were never a bother but I did instruct my children, early on, not o bother the holes or ever corner one.

Comment: Thank you for the postcards. That is one fancy carpet factory. I wish they still built them looking that way too and I've never seen one up close and personal. Carpet factories here look like warehouses. The Humber Bridge reminds me a lot of the Golden Gate Bridge. We have a lot of expansion bridges over here, one of which (the Baltimore) is no longer standing. I still can't believe it completely collapsed!

Response: No, there's no Lammastide anymore - which seems a bit of a shame! Though we do still have harvest festivals.
The lady's head is the Queen. Britain is the only country without its name on its stamps. Instead we have the Queen!

Comment: These are some of the coolest stamps I've seen!! Major heart. I have lots of pen pals from the UK so I've seen a lot of UK stamps, but I've definitely not seen these. Thanks so much for taking the time to choose really great stamps! Oh, the postcard is cute, too. :-)
Response: 1/2p stamps finished with the demise of the 1/2p in 1983 so they're reasonably rare now. I love using them though - they're so funky! Glad you liked :)

Comment: I loved the J for Jail postcard! Yes, here' we use "Jail" ha ha I would have thought "gaol" was a British word! That's funny! Maybe it's just old English. Yep, great new dimension to my collection for sure, I love it! I also adore the stamps - a beautiful wild "feral" kitty and spectacular colorful carnival! They didn't even get postmarked so I can see them so clearly! Thanks so much for a great PC!!

Response: I guess St Helen's Hot Pot is like a Lancashire Hot Pot, but there's a specific pie shop in St Helen's where you buy it. Pastry around the edge and base, minced meat with gravy, carrots and onions at the bottom, mashed potatoes on top. Delicious.
Glad you liked the envelope, I'm just figuring out how to make them :)

Comment: I really liked the way you chose to do your card. The point about Bruce Wayne was something I didn't know. I used the person on my pc as the subject of the phobias, she was wraped up from head to toe everything covered but her eyes so it was fairly easy to come up with several for her. I added a few that he clothing choice didn't help like the fear of peanutbutter sticking to the roof of her mouth. Gee we think we've got problems don't we . thanksfor the card if was pretty neat.
Response: That's definitely a more creative way of coming at the problem than what I did! Glad you liked the bats though - they're surprisingly graceful when you see them in flight photos like those :)
