Response: I'm glad they both arrived, even though one took an incredibly LOOOOONG journey.. I wonder where it spent its time while it was making it's way across the border, haha. I know I didn't have to send the envelope, but I felt terrible when it hadn't arrived and everyone else's had, it really sucks when a swap you're supposed to receive doesn't show up, and I wanted to make up for it, so I looked through your profile and picked things I hoped you'd enjoy :). I am glad both showed up after all though, and glad you enjoyed the envelope of goodies :)

Comment: Apologies for the late rating! I set aside a pile of paperwork and it had mail mixed in!! The cards did not arrive together, the extra one arrived first (our delivery here is randomly sketchy, I think the postal person just doesn't bother working on Monday's as a rule, and I often get other people's mail...). But no matter the delivery time it was lovely of you to send the extra! I haven't been to Fort Henry for many many years but visited there with my late Husband when we were just dating (we were both students at CFSCE), and we were married not too far away from there actually, at the Barriefield Rock Garden (do you know that spot?). It brought back good memories, thank-you so much:) Hope 2020 is starting out good for you!! Thank-you for your family's Service:)
Response: I do know of the Barriefield Rock Garden! I lived at CFB for many years and spent a lot of time there with friends who lived in that area, as many had come over to Lundy's Lane to do grades 7 and 8 (the school on the base) from J.E. Horton because it only went up to grade 6.. so that was a very familiar area since it was literally right in between both of those places. :)

Comment: Rush the renovations and get the cats! Prior to Coco, I always had cats in pairs and always brothers. They were so much fun and great company for one another, too. Coco, however, came as an only (the last kitten there when I went to get some) and a girl and would not tolerate other cats around, even as a kitten. She's fine with Meg (the dog) but that's it! 17 years old and set in her ways! I bet you can't wait to get your own cats! All the best, Tracy.
Response: I'd love to rush them, but this winter has been so weird and unpredictable and when it's been "wintry", it's been really bad.. so we will definitely have to wait until at least spring.. but here's hoping that time goes by quickly and the snow leaves sooner rather than later :)

Comment: Thanks for the postcard! Growing up in North Dakota, one of my best friends was Lori Freitag - not a name you see very often.
Response: It’s definitely not a common name, even here.. but the bigger the city is, the more of it you see, like Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto... people butcher it like crazy though and pronounce it so many different ways. It’s German for Friday, so I tell people to try to remember that and that will help them remember how it’s pronounced haha.. doesn’t always work though :P

Comment: Thanks for the fun PC. What are all those other things in the cooler, taking up space from more bacon? I liked my third shift time. I operated three machines. Each required my attention for five minutes of there 42 minute cycles, leaving me 30 to 40minutes an hour to do what I wanted. I mostly read or wrote.
Response: I have no idea what the other things are.. but they could be things made with bacon, I suppose, haha. My whole 12 hour shift is spent on my feet usually, or with very little down time when I'm sitting, unless it's a night shift, which is usually quiet.. but we do get the odd crazy night.

Response: I didn't know that shaped ones were a thing until I saw some while shopping online only a few months ago, I love them. The Ontario address labels were made for me by someone on Etsy who makes US state ones, but I took the chance and asked her if she could do Canadian provinces.. turns out she does and they're well done :)

Comment: Thanks for the nice PC. I belong to Bookcrossings but haven’t done it in years. I registered and freed over 30 books and not one was ever entered, so I lost interest. There were no little free libraries around then though. Perhaps it’s time to try again.
Response: I can understand losing interest in it. I guess I started it when the Little Free Libraries were being talked about a lot in my hometown, so I figured getting them into other people’s hands was probably going to be easier if I put them in places that were popular and almost guaranteed to be looked at. I’ve had success with a few, so I’m hopeful :)

Response: The book is a little different, as the TV series is meant to be set in a time and place we're familiar with, but it's not far off and very good! There is apparently a second book coming out too that I've been hearing whispering about. Her books are great!

Comment: Got your postcard VF. How cool that it's the Kingston sign. We were there last month and passed that sign at least 6 times. Lots of people were taking photos. It's also really cool to meet another person who knows about Keri Smith. I just picked up a Wreck This Journal in a Little Free Library. It's already about 1/4 wrecked so it makes it easier to go ahead and wreck this one. First thing I did was step on a page with my dusty running shoes. :) And one final comment, your life sounds very hygge cosy to me. :)
Response: It's a relatively new thing to the city, it wasn't there at all while I was growing up, but they're popping up in other larger cities, so Kingston probably felt it was the thing to do haha.

Response: The set has 100 postcards.. and just of the women in the series! All are animated/drawn and many of the characters are in the movies, but some characters are in the books. I have to admit I haven't read many of the books though.

Response: I still haven't had a full tour of the prison itself. I would love to see the old women's prison down the road be turned into something interesting like that now that Queen's University had sold it. Only time will tell. :)

Response: I'm glad you like everything :D. I have Hypothyroidism, so it's the complete opposite of your son's condition. Both are terrible.. my thyroid went back and forth between hyper and hypo for years and settled on this, so it's been a learning experience, that's for sure. Hope to see you in future swaps :)

Comment: Thanks for your note on the clever paper -- I think the directions really meant more than just this one note, but I'm not persnickety, so this will count as the random.
Response: I was the coordinator of this swap which means I had created it and what I sent out to my partners was exactly as I had described and intended while I wrote out the directions for the swap. I followed my own swap directions as I came up with the idea to use a card of any kind for a purpose other than what it was originally intended for and the way the note was supposed to be - a single note, nothing more than that required - about anything the writer felt like writing. I’m sorry if you had misunderstood my swap directions, but I would be the best person to understand, interpret and follow directions and intentions that I had thought of and written myself. Response: Thank you! The strap on the wallet won’t stay fastened, so it looks like there’s this really long piece of.. something attached to it and it’s always opening the change pocket on the back and losing everything in it haha. Looks nicer than it behaves, that’s for sure.

Response: I have a bad habit of losing lip balm, finding it later (in the same bag I "lost" it from) and getting any that come in cute containers, it's horrible haha.

Once when I was particularly stressed, I put on my rain boots, and rain jacket, and with an umbrella, walked in the woods in a pretty heavy rain. It was so calming and beautiful! I have such fond memories of it. Thanks to letting me know when you sent the PC. It’s good to have that time frame reference since I do send to Canada more Ana’s more. Nancy
Response: I try to let people know when I've sent things if my day isn't busy and if I'm not using my phone to update... It would be so much easier to have the option to send a generic "I send my stuff" message to people while clicking the "I sent my stuff" link. Maybe someday!

Response: Thank you! I am very lucky. I'm hoping to move to Toronto some day which is another three hours away from me and much larger than the city I'm in, but I'll still be very close to the NY border, just closer to Buffalo rather than Alexandria Bay and Watertown :)

Response: Actually, I had to search around for one because Babelfish didn't have Danish for some reason.. not sure the site it was, but it wasn't Google. I'm glad you understood it for the most part though :) I can send you the English version if you wanted. :D
