Comment: Thanks for the pretty mail art & fun extras. What kind of spray do you put on the chalks so they don't smear? Also, just so you know...I did have to pay an extra .65 because of the orientation on the envelope. They said it's because it isn't "machinable". I did not realize that it costs extra either.
Response: Sorry about having to pay extra for postge. Leave it to the us postal service to try to get every penny that they can. I first spray the chalks with workable fixative, and then I spray Krylon gloss clear enamel-yep, enamel! I'm sure that it's probably not "archival"-neither am I. LOL! Comment: Thanks for the lovely Oregon PC. :) I haven't been there yet, but one of my best friends moved to Portland a few years ago and I can't wait to see it all! Where I live, in Omaha, there aren't a lot of trees in the city. I definitely crave wide open spaces and some more rural roughage. :)

Comment: First of all, this ATC is amazing! I LOVE it! The textured bubbley things were my favorite. Explain to me what you mean by the "background was inked". (Obviously ink is not a medium I put to use!) The colors were gorgeous. Secondly, I can't believe you live in Medford! Hahaha! I did a double take when I saw your address label. I got confused on whether it was from Swap-Bot and who you were! Anyways, thank you for the lovely ATC! <3 LilyDeSade
Response: I'm delighted that you liked the jellyfish. I used a sheet of glossy photo paper and watered it down. I then used Winsor & Newton inks and after dry I embossed with the black. The jellyfish is made out of stickles and finally those textured bubbly things were done with Diamond Glaze. I love altering and creating backgrounds, and this was a fun project. Maui is one of our favorite spots and this past January when we were there I got to snorkel with turtles, I love that.
