Loved the stuff in the Potato place, the hot dogs look delicious.Jonny's reminds me of a pub I go to, which is also sports related, and one of my favorite places to go to. I loved that in the Tower there is so much choice about different meals and beverages, we don't have that much here in Bulgaria haha and also I saw the "baklava"offered as a party tray, which we have here and it's a local dish. I'm dying to one day go to a restaurant in America and try some food as I generally love to try differend dishes when I travel! Thank you very much for sharing, it was very intresting to me :) P.S. Loved the writing paper ^^
Response: Because the United States is made up of immigrants from all over the world and (in order to make a living) many have opened restaurants, serving authentic recipes from their homelands. We are a "melting pot"... and it's a beautiful thing. ❤ (My family immigrated from Italy, Sicily & Poland. My Husband is French Canadian & German). I truly hope you can visit some day!!

I loved hearing about staying up with your dad and watching the same TV programs that I remember watching, and I can imagine the nice feeling you get when you watch them now; I feel that same connection with my mom when I work in my yard with the same kind of flowers she used to love so much. And your story about the Mackinac Bridge reminded me of when Dad used to take all of us to a certain lake for the day, to swim and cook out; I knew when we reached a certain intersection that it wouldn't be long before we were splashing and laughing together. You are right - so many things can set off such wonderful memories of days gone by. Thanks for sharing! Thanks also for the postcard of that beautiful bridge, and for the Michigan playing card! Love them both!

Comment: I received my magpie book a couple weeks ago and am just now getting to a place where I can tell you how much I love it. If I gave you a heart for every time I've looked at it (and notice something different each time) you would have at least a dozen, if not 2, hearts. It is wonderful. My brother lived in Ann Arbor Michigan while he was finishing his PhD and I was remembering the Henry Ford Museum that I visited at least once, if not twice as a young teenager. I was fascinated by it. Your journal had lots of fun things in it, and I felt like I got to know alittle bit of Michigan in the process. This was my first Magpie and I found it fun, but also anxiety producing. Thank you very much for the thought you put into this journal, and for all the little things you included. It is a treasure.

Response: The building's upstairs room (Edison's Lab) shown on that postcard is inside Menlo Park/Greenfield Village. It is part of the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation located in Dearborn, MI. This is not a replica, it is the real laboratory of Thomas Edison. He and Henry Ford were close friends. I have a membership to this museum and go a few times per month.

Comment: Thank you for the lovely cards! Don't worry too much about typing. I have a ligament tear in my right wrist and writing in print style is extremely difficult and messy for me. Not many can read cursive anymore, so I do what I can to make things work. Usually I resort to cursive though because it's so much easier for me.
