Comment: What a wonderful swap. The envelope is terrific; so nice to see your carved background and postoid. The postage stamps are perfect. I very much like your carved postcard with the seals and lighthouse. You always have such a good depiction of depth in your scenes. It's a treat to receive the perforated paper; I'll be using it soon. Lastly, thanks so much for the copies of your zines. They're so fun to look through, and they are actually the only ones I have from the swap since I never received mine back :( so it's great to have these!

Comment: Wonderful carving of the coastal island with nesting gannets. All the elements - one gannet in the foreground, one flying in the middle distance, and the multiple birds far in the distance; the grassy shore and the sea; the steep cliffs - combine to make a lovely scene. And it's such a treat to read about your visit to the island and about printing with a vintage press at a museum. Well done!

Thanks for the World Postcard Day artistamps! And I love your hand carved artistamps on the envelope. ---P.S. I've never had pear jam, and pear jam with chili sounds so intriguing. I'm going to be on the look out for both (perhaps in a specialty food store somewhere).
Response: Once we bought pear jam in an ordinary supermarket in France. It was very easy to make it myself, though. You just need pears, sugar, a little lemon juice and pectin (or sugar that's mixed with pectin already). The chili version was an experiment.

My husband and I love to feed them on our deck and watch them. They'll come to the door and look inside to get us to come out and feed them. I'll get page one stamped and move it along in round #3. Response: Hi, thanks for your kind words. "Our" squirrel was here very often a few years ago, that was when I had carved that stamp. Now the squirrel don't come to our balcony any more, even if we put out nuts. (These are collected by the birds). But we can watch squirrels in the trees nearby. I'm looking forward to see what you stamped into the book :)
