Comment: Wow! What a week you had! I'm glad you all made it through the fires. So scary! I caption news stations in Northern Cali and it sounde really terrifying Thanks too for the beautiful handmade card. It's lovely! Did you use markers to color the drawing? I'm trying to get better at drawing, and I love botanicals. We do have squirrels here now, but I don't remember them when I was growing up. So they moved here, too and adapted!

Response: Yes it is very hard to know what to do with them. Even swaps like this where they are suppose to be ugly seem frustrating and leave our partners unhappy. I am ready to just toss all of them and give up on trying to use them. 😊

Everyone pretty much gets along. The girls, Growl and Meow, will be 15 this summer and just want to be left alone now (even more so than is typical for a cat). Kit (now 4) cannot figure out why they do not want to play with him. Spooky does her own thing and Boots just wants to love everyone.

The ore was really cool - I'm going to put it on my typesetter's tray shelf. And oddly enough I recently found a rock hammer when we were cleaning out some of my in-law's stuff. So I just smacked the geode and now have some lovely quartz-y goodness. I was so happy to receive the geode because I've never cracked one myself before! And the postcard you included was a nice surprise. :)

Comment: Picked up my mail this morning. LOVE the cat! At first, I thought it was a fish (I saw the back first), so I got two smiles out of it. By the way, we just got 5 inches of wet heavy snow, so it doesn't feel like spring yet. Say "hi" back to Archer!
Response: Oh my gosh... Not Snow ! We are well into spring, but every once in awhile we get crazy snow in May. It really causes trouble. I am glad my chunk made you smile=)

We did get a lot of snow this year, and in fact, getting some sleet right now. I also think it is really cool that even though we are 3,000 miles away we can each look out our windows and see the same wildlife, in particular the turkeys. Like Archer, my cat Lucy is a strictly indoor cat and enjoys looking out all the birds, squirrels, turkey, deer, etc that enjoy our yard. Happy Swapping, Michelle and thanks again...great card! :)
