Comment: I got my things it's beautiful. I have been using mixed media paper. Collage and drawing and telling about where I live and what is going on. I'm just finishing a journal page this made me realize that putting a colored background on it would make it pretty and then put the collage on it. I have been taking pictures out of the conversation department magazine because they show what animals
And flowers we have here. Doing one for international I want people to see the beauty of Mo. I am located in the country not far a town called Ava located in the Ozark's and about 60 miles from the border of Arkansa (located in the boot hills ) . It's beautiful even though we have ticks and chiggers we have to deal with. I am going to try grunde next time.

It was in great condition and I wasn't charged anything to pick it up, but I thought you'd like to know. I'd never seen that particular sticker before :)
Response: So glad you like the envie! I don't know what's going on with the "non-machinable" stickers. I've gotten about 7 this last couple weeks both incoming and outgoing. It seems that every time I move to a new place I have new issues with art related mail but i'll get it sorted out soon, I hope. In the meantime i'm just trying to be extra careful with all my swaps to weigh them twice + add extra postage

Response: So glad you like my take on flip books. I'm always nervous that people won't like my assemblages. Also you can deconstruct the booklet in the back to use those papers in your own crafts. Thank you many times over for everything you included, and your note about journaling. I have been creating art journals and junk journals for a good number of years at this point and am always excited to create new ones to fill up. What you have sent me (including your note) is so perfectly spot on for making a journal, and for me being able to personalize a journal to fill - thank you! (PS I have looked at your Etsy shop and it is definitely up my alley. We must have similar art minds)
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the package! It's always hard to gauge what "junk journal" means to others. I love random mashups, I also like wildly imaginative assemblages. My shop is a reflection of me just using things that I enjoy. I've added some supplies to bring more traffic to the shop. At the end of the day a good swap is one that's put together with love and imagination with a sprinkle of crazy : ) I had found that this element was lacking on Swap-bot so I left, but since i've returned I hope to come across more swappers like you and me! I covered the dress form with some vintage papers, but I didn't want it to be super vintage looking so I didn't add any other inks or dyes, I wanted it to stand out from the box, but also blend in..lol.. I also really like the things you sent in the inspiration kit. The ribbon is nice and thin, perfect for ruffling on an ATC! The postcards are really cute. My favorite is the collage postcard. The postage stamps are great to add to my collection too. I love the witty sayings on the pencils too. This is one of the best swaps I have ever received!
Response: HAAAA!! Finding uses for the scraps is a must : ) I'm so glad you like the book. For the layered parts, you just count out some pages, start with a large hole on the first page, then make the hole smaller as you go, until you find a happy point.

Response: lol. The small papers are trading card size, But I use them for lists, little notes, collage, bookmarks, paper piece quilts. If you can't find a use for them, you can always send the to a swap partner that makes ATCs : )

I had to resort to emojis to effectively convey how appreciative I am of the Art Box kit you put together for me! I can't believe that bag--it's amazing! Thank you so much for that, as well as all of the supplies inside! I also love the playing cards box and am so excited to try out a Prismacolor Verithin pencil. I've been eyeing Prismacolor pencils for a few weeks and now I can test one out! Thank you so much for using my profile as a jumping off point for ideas and for challenging me to go outside my crafting comfort zone--I needed to hear that. Luckily, school is out next week, so I'll have some time to get my craft on. Thanks again! (I will cherish that "MAKE" bag forever!!)

I love random colors/patterns/style, but you never know how people will respond to your creations right! They definitely fall into that "too beautiful to use" category, but I will force myself to use them because that's why I swapped for them. I think I'll use the larger one for my travel sketches and souvenirs and the smaller one for my ocean meditation drawing. I know you say it is embellished with a tree, but it looks just like Hawai'ian seaweed to me; the handmade cover paper even looks like it has flecks of nori :D.

Art is open to interpretation, and where I see a tree, you see seaweed. Maybe if I were more familiar I would see seaweed too.. That's another reason why I love making things, I love to see how my happiness makes others happy too : ))

Response: O poo, I thought they might come loose, I guess my attempt to be clever failed. Yes they were supposed to be flowers. To restick them you'd have to take the backing off, then remove the mesh, it might ruin the whole thing : ( .. I'm sorry I sent a bum card
