I remember canoeing up north one summer in Algonquin Park and chasing a Loon around the lake. They also make a haunting sound when calling to other Loons. My mom and both my sisters had cancer, and now my youngest daughter has skin cancer, so we are very aware of what a disease it is.and do our best to donate all we can towards finding the cure. I make chemo hats for those who have lost their hair and donate them through local churches and now have a beautician who lets me know when she finds someone who needs them. I love to sew, and get donations from others who sew and have large scraps of soft fabrics, So the circle continues.and God Blesses.

I have very thick hair and did not lose it all during chemo treatments - it got thin, so my friend Violet, who is a hair stylist, cut and shaped it each month at no cost. My hair is salt & pepper - bangs are white - last week had my bangs hi-lighted in HOT PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness - have gotten lots of great comments on my hair. Did the Survivors Walk last year, but had other commitments for the weekend, so could not stay overnight. My friend, Cindy (CINDYAC) on SB went with me. Strange thing - she had my name for the All Crafters Craft Swap and hand delivered it to save the postage.

Response: Glad you liked it all - I have a basement craft/sewing room FULL of stuff - had lots more in parcel but shipping was $20 - no way I was spending that much. If there is anything you would like more of, just let me know and can send a smaller envie of stuff - have lots that my grandchildren use for crafts - they have their own 3 drawer dresser full of craft supplies/paper/wood shapes and recycled materials. So glad you got parcel before strike - I was worried some swaps might be stuck in transit - so far so good. Looking forward to more Canadian Swaps

Response: I am so glad you liked everything, wasn't sure about the embroidery - I use them as pockets on tote bags that I make. The "COW" sits on the corner of Dundas St (our main street) and Springbank Ave. It was once part of the farm where she was born and produced all that butterfat/milk. She used to get painted purple at Halloween, but the police keep an eye on her now. Thanks for the heart

Response: I enjoy writing letters, little notes to friends and stories. I am the secretary/treasurer of our local Women of the Moose, so i even like to take notes and write the minutes. I have written a couple of children's stories and I am working on a romance story with a ghost from the US Civil War.
