I especially love the ladies with the umbrellas image, and the way you wrote about in detail each image in your typewriters note 🤩 This was such a fun swap to open and explore, with the way you made it like a scrapbook album with all the extra details. Though February 8th to February 14th were the Lunar New Year holidays for me here where the post office was closed, so that *might* have affected delivery time. Or maybe it didn't affect your mail at all, but still putting the info here just in case :D Anyway, oh wow, the protest you wrote about!! :O I might have heard of the company you asked me about, or at least the name seems familiar, but oh wow. I haven't been to any of these cities because I've never really been to France. The book you mentioned sounds interesting, I should check it out because I eat too much sugar and I wish I could quit. I'm addicted. I recently read ultra-processed people, if you don't know that I would also recommend it.

I can’t even think about it lol!! All my pets are good - all fun in their own way! The kitten is getting very brave and less skittish - she’s really getting comfortable since last month! Your travels sound awesome! We are going g to Mexico City next month. Everything else is up in the air - need to plan! Comment: Thanks for the swap, the banknote, and the nice letter. We visited the south of Bavaria a few years ago. Out older daughter skied the Zugspitz. The rest of us don't ski. We all took the train across the Alps to Innsbruck for a day. Beautiful in the snow.

I think my Siamese cats are quieter than most, but they have their moments and certain things they get more vocal about. You're on the right track with Metropolis! It was a brief period of film history between WW1 and WW2 that has greatly influenced so many aspects of film that came after it.

I also listen to podcasts (extremely rarely to music!) while doing something else like walk, crochet, prep swaps, clean the house etc. I'm also on a "break" from Instagram as I was feeling too tired to keep up with people's lives, people I don't even know! Funny you sent an Art Nouveau card since Oradea, my hometown, is an Art Nouveau city. So thanks for that! :)

I’m currently reading The Farm by Joanne Ramos, the main character is a Filipino immigrant leaving in the US. For holiday here in Canada, I’m going to be bias, go to Alberta. Well Calgary. Banff National Park is only 1.5 hours drive. During summer we go there every other week to go hiking. Lots of beautiful lakes. Lake Louise is very popular. But if you want more city vibe go to Toronto or Vancouver. Montreal is okay, old French architecture building, you have France close to you. Haha Thank you so much!!!! Take care always!

Comment: yay I finally received it!!! I'm so sorry about your cat. I lost my cat of 15 years in 2020 and it was so heartbreaking. april was very hard for me because there was a few deaths in my family. I'm sorry that the vet was pushy! That is so frustrating, especially during a hard time. My heart goes out to you. I'm sure she is comfortable now, chasing birds and butterflies and napping in the sun :) <3 we will see our beloved pets again, I'm sure of it! Lots of love to you, Erika.

Comment: My mail drops are like yours. Some days nothing, then others its stuffed. I stayed in West Berlin, before the wall came down, back in '87. I am sure so much has changed. I had to do that a year ago as I gained weight and it was annoying trying on too small clothing every time I was getting dressed. I went snorkeling off the Great Barrier Reef once. It was gorgeous. When we got back on the boat we found out there was a shark nearby, but we didn't see it, Thank again for the lovely letter!

Also, I haven't read We Have Always Lived in the Castle but it's on my reading list now. I loved The Haunting of Hill House.

I live in t shirts and yoga pants so I feel you on the clothes. And yes, I love cake. It is hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to say good ol vanillal or carrot cake and now I want some! Comment: Thanks for the great letter. So many things we just don't do here in my part of the states. For example, the allotment gardens. Other swappers in different parts of the country have community gardens. I grew up on a small farm and LOVE fresh veggies. Also, we don't really bike much to places and really don't have much public transportation in my area. Again, loved reading your letter. Thanks for the bookmark.

I agree with you about trades - wonderful, useful skills, almost always great pay and benefits -- and you're out working faster than college with a guaranteed job! Nothing bad about that! I know all about having an older pet too - we stopped vaccinating ours for many years on the advice of our vet -- I mean, what harm could have come to a toy poodle who cuddled in bed and was held most of the day, LOL! Luckily we had someone staying at our house with her so we could travel! Your summer holiday plans sound amazing - I looked it up! When you have that not far away there's no reason to go further! One of the things I enjoy about this kind of swap is the way it gives me tiny bits of insight into other people's worlds and lives. I can imagine the subterfuge that needs to go on to ensure that the children are out of the way when the Christkind comes! Response: Heidelberg is a stunning, lovely old city, I went there in Winter once. Really lovely city and Rheinland is also great, we did a 5 day bicycle trip along the Rhein river. You’ll leave with a good impression of Germany! ☺️

I use to have Sunday Monday’s off and I really liked it. We would rotate but I usually kept my days off until I went down to 3 days a week. Of the actual images on your pages the only ones that were from my childhood play days were the games. I wanted all those fun toys but I just had 1 little Care Bear, a Cabbage Patch and lots of Barbies. I loved all the images on your page. Thanks so much for the memories. Many of my friends had the toys you shared so I did get to play with theirs.
Response: I'm glad you found it. I'll send directly in future and not bcc everone in the same email. A friend of mine had a post office set and I loved playing with them haha. Now I can play post office here. I think it is better to have less as a child. Those toys were favourites because we didn't get a new toy every week like children nowadays seem to!

I love charity shopping like you do, my fave thing to find is annotated books, I love reading the book with the previous owner in a way, and adding my own thoughts to the page as well as reading theirs. The extras you sent are very cute too :) I live in a city and I plan to live in a cottage when I am older, I am only 19 at the moment though.

I also used to stay in my grandparents caravan where they lived in the River Murray in South Australia and be woken up with kookaburras singing. We once had 1 steal our string of sausages from the BBQ as kookaburras do not like snakes and will often fly off with them. Somehow our lunch must have looked like a snake.
