Response: I just realized, I owe you another ATC, I will get it out to you directly. I apologize.
Response: Thank you! I used Min Wax Polycrylic. I couldn't find Future Floor Wax anywhere. When I lived in Germany in the early 80's I first used Fimo which was big over there back then. I have used it some since then but just now really got back into using it. I bought the skull beads on ebay about 5 years ago and love them too, they are made of bone.
Response: I am so glad you liked her, I was so worried because I am new to making art dolls. I am so glad she went to a home where she will be loved.

Response: We just got one here a year ago, I love going there, I had missed it from days of living in Southern California. I glad you liked the card.
Response: I am a few hours away :). I don't remember where I got the pattern, but you start with a circle of 16 beads, close it, then add 7 beads an back stitch it through previous two beads and through the next two beads, then add five beads and go through the two beads on the previous circle and then just like before, through the two past beads and two next beads, keep repeating this until you come to the last circle where you add three beads and close the circle. Then diagonally add the 4mm beads in between the "spokes" of the wheel. Then add the center bead and then you can choose to add the embellish beads around the outside. Hope that helps.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I tried to make it something in your taste, I love lilacs also.
Response: I was so very nervous, I am so glad you liked everything. As I said, I had trouble with the T and I didn't want to send all ATC's, so I looked for a tree stamp, and I saw this one and I recalled you mentioning Hero Arts and I thought, Perfect! Thank you for the great rating.
Response: Thank you for the great rating. I was worried when I saw you as my partner because your jewelry is so wonderful and I didn't think anything I made could measure up. I scanned through all the anthropologie jewelry looking for something just right and I didn't think anything was quite right for you, then I googled anthropologie like jewelry and found a tutoria and created my own twist on it. I was pleased with the result. I bought thouse skull beads about 5 years ago on ebay. They are so wonderful and I believe made out of bone, I am glad you like them.
Vicki

Response: I am so glad you liked it.
Response: I was really excited when I ordered the prints, then I got nervous that I was being to abstract but decided since you had chosen the word CREATE, that you would appreciate it :). We have so many fences out here in the boonies that there is many ways to make an E as I did in one, but then I went to Wally World with my camera and as I walked by the paint chips there, I saw "E"! I took several, but that came out the best. The A was just happy happenstance. I am really glad you liked it, I made myself a set also :)
Response: I was looking up stitch markers on etsy because in the past I had just used large jump rings, but I thought that the ability to open them might be more helpful.
Response: I am so glad you like it.

Response: It's a zombie! LOL
Response: Thank you! I printed onto inkjet transparency and reversed them before I printed so I could face the non printed side out so it wouldn't affect the printed area :)
Response: Thank you!!! I shrunk them before I printed them to less than 1 x 1. I am so glad you liked them :)
Response: it is tyvek that I painted with lumiere paints and then iron it between teflon sheets, but you want to float it over the teflon, really close and it will bubble up. Just get one of those mailing envelopes from USPS and paint the inside.
Response: Thank you for the rating!. I use illustration board, I buy about 20-25 sheets and take it to a printer to cut it into ATC size.
Response: I first painted the paper, in this case a page from an Asian newspaper I picked up in Chinatown in Los Angeles. I then used soft gel gloss on the back side of the painted paper to adhere it to the illustration board I used as a base. Thank you for rating me. Oh and yes, it is acrylics, I use Golden Paints fluid and heavy body acrylics.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I always worry LOL, Thank you for the great rating. I kove those fish beads :)
Response: Thank you so very much for the wonderful rating. I have really enjoyed doing this swap series, and knock on wood not one flaker so far. I approach each skinny as if it was it's own stand alone so they don't always look the same. :)
Response: Yes I did :) I am glad you liked it and thank you for the rating :)
Response: Thank you for the rating. Yes, I made that area out of beads :)
Response: Normally I like to use a two part resin, but this time I used Diamond Glaze :)
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I used pink since you said it was your favorite color. I have never made one before and I was worried it would not be good enough :)
Response: Oh my, I sent you twice. Thank you for letting me know, were they both addressed to you?
Response: I was getting worried, I am so glad it arrived safely :D Thank you for the great rating.
Response: I used the aluminum tape you can buy at Lowes and Home Depot and then I drew on them, I then rubbed on some black acrylic paint and then took the excess off, then I sponged on alcohol inks. Thank you for the great rating.
Response: Thank you so much for the great rating, I am really enjoying the skinny series :D
Response: I am so glad you liked it, the background was created using coffee filters that I dyed myself and baked in the oven :D. Thank you for the great rating and all the kind words. Vicki
Response: I am glad you got it and liked it, thank you for rating me :) and welcome to swapbot and you are a fellow scorpio, you have the same birthday as my grandmother did.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I was worried when I knew I was sending to you, the swap coordinator. I was please with it. I am glad you will enjoy it :)
Response: I am so glad it got there, I was starting to get worried LOL. I used fabric dyes for the coffee filters, I spray the bottom of the pan and sprinkle some of the powder dye and start layering the coffee filters adding water and more dye as necessary and then bake it in the oven at a low temperature just below boiling. I am really glad you liked it, the coffee filters were a last minute inspiration because I felt the button flowers looked so naked LOL.
Response: I am so glad you liked them, I was worried because I was having a hard time sewing because, one, I didn't realize how small one inch is when you are sewing LOL, and two, I had broken my wrist last month and my brace wasn't very helpful LOL. Thank you for rating me :)
Response: I am so glad that you liked it :) Thank you for the rating.
Response: I am so glad you liked it, I really enjoyed this swap. Having people appreciate what you do is what I enjoy about swapping here. Thank you so much. Vicki
Response: I used on of those paint sample cards, I think it was from Home Depot, Behr brand. I attached it to a heavier stock card (illustration board) stamped the picture, highlighted the edges and added some interference color then I glued the flowers and added the beads :) I am glad you liked it.
Response: I used Yupo paper and I brayered on acrylic paints before I cut them to ATC size. I am really glad you liked it.
Response: I like to cook and I like onions in my cooking, so before I send stuff out I store them in a zip lock bag with a cloth I have sprayed with this air freshener from Bath & Bodyworks, the bamboo one. I think it is light and airy :)
Response: The stamp is from Rubber Stampede by Delta it is called "She Knows" and the product number is 3652 http://www.deltacreative.com/uploads/media/documents/stamp_Nostalgia-Wings-2008.pdf
Response: Oh pooh, I am really sorry, I really try to pack them well.
Response: Yes it is my photography. Thank you for the great rating and I am glad you like the inchies :)
Response: I am going to buy a cheap baking pan and spray paint it and then put magnets on the back of the twinchies and hang the pan on the wall. Thank you for the rating.
Response: I wanted to make sure it was enough and that was all I had LOL
Response: I used to live down near Boca Raton, but after all the hurricanes and damage to our house, I am happy to be up here in South Carolina in the mountains :).
Response: Before I clicked who I was to send to, I said to myself, I bet my partner will be @Deluxx again, and sure enough it was LOL. I am glad you liked everything.
Response: I am so pleased. I stopped at the local Hispanic market to see what they had for Day of the Dead stuff and I saw the candles and I knew it would be perfect, of course then I had to decide which one to get LOL. I also bought the tea there, mainly because of the anise in it since you like that.
Response: Actually I did contact them and they told me what to do. That is why I was able to save her. I also spoke to my vet. Delilah is a happy wild and free squirrel.
Response: I am so glad you liked it. I figured you could use some extra goodies with winter coming on up there.

Response: You can open them whenever you want, I won't tell ;)
Response: I buy them on line at clearbags.com
Response: I am so sorry, dang USPS. I am glad it didn't fall out.
Response: I am so glad you liked everything. I started making one sweater and I felt it was too small so I made another one hoping it would be big enough. I knew it would be too warm right now, but my dogs love those sweaters and they are so easy to put on. I thought the piddle pads were perfect LOL.
Response: Sure! I love mini zines! It is based on the reality when I was living in Florida and my husband had to travel all the time, he would be gone all the time and when he was on a project in London it was for months at a time. Down there after you turn 50 (my husband is over 50) you start getting calls from funeral places all the time.
Response: The Be was for Being Alone and stupid me, I should have titled it that. My husband has to travel alot for work and I am often left alone here.
Response: Oh pooh Pooh! But thank you for the compliment, I am glad you like it :)
Vick
Response: I am so glad you like it. I really enjoyed putting it together. Vicki
Response: It was not my intention for it to arrive broken, of course and I will make a new one and send it out. I am sorry it did arrive broken and I did tell them it was fragile at the post office. I am at my mothers and will not get back home until Friday, I will work on a new one then. I wish you would have not assumed that I would not make this right. --------->Update-------> I have tried to make this right, by making another one to send, however it has been made abundantly clear to me that it would not be acceptable to her as it was not what she wanted even though she was swap host, there were no specifics given as to how it was to be created other than in a jar and something you would like to receive. I worked very hard on mine but from the PM I received today it was pretty much dismissed. I don't know what more I could have done. ---->Response to added comments ------>What is a fairy to you and what is a fairy to someone else might not be the same. I have received a captured fairy before and it was like the one I received, I have also found other pictures of captured fairies similar in vein of what I created. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28757002@N03/2868544209/ . If you wanted a specific type of fairy, then you, as the swap host and therefore the creator of the swap, should have been specific.
Response: I painted the background by dropping paint on the chipboard and mushed it together with another piece of chipboard. I let it dry a couple of days and then I took the sander to it to distress it and then I applied a wash of one color :). I am glad you liked it!
Vicki
Response: I am so glad you liked it, gray is out of my comfort zone LOL
Response: I used Tyvek and India Inks. I was also worried about them all looking the same and I was thinking about not folding them but putting two pieces together, but I thought I would stick with the guidelines LOL But they were fun to make and I couldn't choose which ones to send you so I sent them all LOL
Response: Did I give you two of the same or two different ones?
Response: I am so glad you liked it, that sure brightens my day. Hugs to you too :)
Response: Oh good! The basket is on the way with the GGGW scavenger hunt swap items also. :) Thank you :)
Response: I had received the hat in a lot of vintage lace and handkerchiefs.
Response: I buy a bunch of illustration board when it is on sale and take it to a printer and have them cut it into the right side. They usually do it for not much money and it makes it alot easier. Did you receive the ROY G BIV ones yet, I think I sent them out around the same time.
Vicki
Response: I never was able to see them live. But I was also living in Europe at that time and my very first music video I had ever seen was Twilight Zone by Golden Earring and it played right before the movie Pink Floyd: The Wall. When I moved back to the states in 1985, I sat for a week in front of the TV and watched MTV and all that, I was fascinated. We only had three part time channels in Germany.
Response: When I signed up for the swap, I did so because I knew I had the perfect container for it. All I had to do is fill it! I am so glad you liked it. I had such fun.
Response: Thank you so much. I have several more parts to do and then I would like to make a bit larger one about it. It is healing to write about it because until you or someone close to you have had it, you have no idea what all is involved. I am very lucky. Have a wonderful holiday! I will let you know when they are done and maybe we can do a private swap if you would like.
Response: I am glad you liked everything, it is Christmas and I love giving gifts, so I am glad you enjoyed everything. Thank you for the heart :) Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Vicki
Response: Thank you and yes I did draw them myself.
Response: Thank you! And thank you for the heart. I glued the text down and circled the words and then with a brush I painted the whole thing except the words with Golden's Titan Buff heavy body acrylic. Then I colored it with some Golden's fluid acrylics.
Response: When I signed up for the swap, I knew what I wanted to do, I wanted one about hurricanes since we got hit head on by Wilma when we stil lived in Florida, but when you think about, Wilma was no Katrina. But I hit a road block because I don't have a car when my husband is at work to go make color copies, but I did have this wonderful silk all ready for ink jet printing from Dharma Trading. So I picked my pics out I wanted to use, made a photo collage on the computer and then printed them out. I then sewed them to the felt and outlined each of the pictures. I am not a fantastic sewer, but I was happy with how it came out. Thank you for the heart and I am glad you enjoyed them.
Vicki
Response: Thank you for the heart and I am glad you enjoyed the card.
Vicki
Response: Thank you for the heart. I have ordered boxes of post cards from Amazon because I love sending unusual cards. As a matter of fact, I just ordered more last night LOL.
Vicki
Response: I had to laugh when I was sending both swaps out that I had you for both of them. I am surprised that they didn't arrive together since I sent them at the same time. I swear my mailperson must think I am nuts sending so much out. I am glad you enjoyed the ATC.
Response: You're quite welcome, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Response: Thank you for the heart, I am glad you liked it. I scrapped the first cards I made for this swap because I wasn't happy with them. So I am glad to know my instincts are still keen ;)
Vicki
Response: I am glad you enjoyed them, I know it is considered by some to be a morbid subject matter, but I was not glorifying them, I wanted to make sure of that.
Thank you for the heart.
Vicki

Vicki
Response: So if it deserves a heart, where's my heart (insert winking, tongue protruding emoticon here) ;p

Response: You're quite welcome.
Response: You're welcome.
Response: Your're quite welcome, I am glad you enjoyed them.
Response: I am glad you love them, thank you for the heart. I have determined that I am obsessive-compulsive. When I buy things, I can't buy just one, I have to buy one of every color. When I lived in Los Angeles, I used to go down to the garment district in Saturdays and I was obsessed with earrings, big earrings with tons and tons of beads and embellishments. Over time, I ended up with over 500 pairs. Of course, as always the obsession didn't last and this was before ebay became EBAY, so I tore them all apart and saved all the beads and embellishments and I use them now in my art. Some of the inchies I sent you had some of these on them.
Vicki
Response: Thank you so much for the heart. I love doing the backgrounds, that is where I spend the most time on the cards. I use Golden's paints and polymer medium and varnishes. The colors are so intense.
