I also wonder if we have met! I haven't gone to any of the Oakland Co. Genealogy Society meetings, though I have a patient who has bugged me to join, lol. I attended the NGS Convention in Grand Rapids in 2018 and go to smaller seminars occasionally as I find them, including a few held by the MGC. I'm actually working on creating a talk that combines my love for genealogy, my career in nursing, and my history degree, about how illness/medicine, etc. affected the lives of our ancestors. It's been slow going with all the other "life stuff" I have going on, but I hope it's something I can present in the near future.

I had a rough week then I started to do a little better the last couple of days and then I can't work any more and the SSD is giving me a hard time. Saying I can't get help. Oh I'm trying to keep in check but it is not easy and no one understands what I have to go thru. I get so upset and I'm very emotional so I cry. I have not been able to work for 5 years. It is not fair my husband has to take on ALL my responsibility. But I have to go and get a lawyer that I can not afford and then I will get told no because I'm married and he makes too much which is not fair either. But I'm sorry for just running on an on. I really loved everything and I needed that today. Thanks :)

Comment: WOW you have left me speechless. I love everything you have sent. It is going to kick up my collection. Now i really have to learn how to get the stamps off the envelopes.
Response: My understanding is that, as long as the envelope was white, you can soak the stamp in some lukewarm water for about an hour or two, and it should slide right off. If the envelope was another color, you want to rip as much off as possible so it doesn't stain the stamp, and then do the same process (soak for 1-2 hours). Hope this works, and glad you liked the assortment! :-)

TY for packaging in bubble envelope so no damage would happen while in transit & also for the extra base of background for my use. What medium did you use to create the base background? Paint? You also have me for Red & Yellow which I'm looking forward to.
Response: The base was cut from one of my large handmade paper collages that I normally use in my framed artwork - it's simply paper and matte medium. :-) I'm so glad you liked it! :-) The red ATCs were cut from the same kind of sheet, but the yellow's completely different. Hope you like them all! :-)

Comment: Thanks for the card. The weather in TN is not much warmer than yours this first week of the New Year. Lows in the teens and highs rarely above freezing. I was in southern Ms for the holidays where the temps were in the 60's and I want to be there now.

Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I cut the copper-colored leaves out of fabric - the fabric was sheer, and the leaves appeared to be embossed on the fabric, so when I cut them out, they looked great! Glad you liked it!

Comment: I love my insect ATC - It's not "creepy" at all. I backgound paper is great Is it russian? The paper/wire flowers are pretty I'm curious about the adhesive - Did you make them ?
Response: I'm so glad you like the ATC! :) Yes, I think the background paper was Russian. The wire flowers were made by punching flower shapes from a variety of paper, then adhering two sets of them (back to back) with a double-sided sticky square, sticking the wire between the two.

Response: Hi Neighbor! RE: the wired flowers - I used various paper punches and Sissix & Cuttlebug dies to cut out the flower shapes from papers, then adhered them to one another with double-sided adhesive, sticking the wire between the two halves. It was fun - and kids would have a blast making them. Hope we meet someday! :)
