Comment: That Skins art piece is interesting - it was a set of 16 hand-dyed gelatin silver prints and sold for about $130,000.00 us dollars! Ah, I wish I could sell an art piece for that! The best I have done is sold a photograph for $50.00, so at least I can say I've sold my art!

Comment: I went to the store and they were also out of toilet paper and paper towels, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, hand sanitizer and almost all canned goods. It was quite weird to walk down many aisles that were empty. Thank you for the pretty Jane Austen quote postcard!

Wouldn't surprise me if comes to that here. But I have always stocked up on TP, even before this Viral mess. As so I don't have to go once a week to get any. Please take care & stay safe.

Comment: Lovely postcard! I looked the painting up, because it is so striking! The Marquesa - the subject of the portrait - died just 2 years after being painted. Goya, the artist, was ill also when he made this painting, and it caused him to become deaf and depressed. It changed his art, pushing him to create "fantastic, grotesque, and disturbing engravings." Thanks for the postcard - which led to my own art history lesson!

Comment: Merci beaucoup for the neat postcard! University of the People is a very different experience. I'm not really a fan of the peer review aspect of the writing assigmnent, but I am told it gets better the further into your studies you get. I took two history classes this term and it is A LOT of writing! I'm just glad I have an opportunity to continue my studies while I am outside of the US.

Comment: Ruth, thank you for the outhouse postcard and stirring up some much forgotten childhood memories. I remember crying that I never wanted to sleep over my father's parents house because they only had an outhouse and It was far from the house. I thought there were all sorts of creatures out there that would gobble me up. I don't remember when but my grandfather bought me a "potty" bowl so I didn't have to go outside, but I was very happy because I didn't have to go outside at night.. My grandparents had a big old farmhouse and raised 13 children there. I also remember when they put the bathroom in, it was the only one for all of them. Shirley

Unfortunately the #@*% USPS meanies slashed through the stamps with their vicious black marker. (one of my pet peeves.) Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Fra Filippi Lippi -- I remember seeing this painting in person over 10 years ago when my family drove along the coast to Dartmouth for a conference my dad attended for work -- and Jimi Hendrix postage. I would love to revisit D.C. soon! Aww, sometimes rest is what we need :) The past weekend was jam-packed with retrieving my cat (mistakenly turned in! ugh... I was so upset because she already had a collar and chip and was recently spayed), cooking all Saturday morning for a May Crowning celebration (it was worth it in the end ;), teaching Zumba in heels at the party, and hanging out with friends before seeing The 1975 on Sunday evening (also worth it); I am still exhausted! Is the Scrabble Tournament an app/site or something in which you have to enroll beforehand? One of my favorite toys was the travel Scrabble whose tiles clicked in place :) Happy Tuesday!

Response: This was the only vintage PC they had (that I saw). They had quite an assortment of PCs. Some even appeared to be printed off an inkjet printer on that make-your-own PC paper.

But February 23, 1979 was the first time that we kissed, and on that day he always surprises me. Sometimes with a self written poem, or a present (book or jewelery), sometimes with music. Reminds me of style of hat found of Star Fleet Ships from "Star Trek the Next Generation" in the lounge - bar deck. Comment: Thank you for the interesting card. Too bad that the musuem will be closing. Thank you also for using the Bicentennial era Kansas stamp. I remember our 4th of July parade in 1976. We rode on the float for out daughters 4H troop. So much fun helping make it then winning a prize for our catigory.
Response: Glad the stamp brought back some good memories. I got a bunch of these state flag stamps and have been trying to send them to people who live in those states.

Comment: St. George, Utah has a dinosaur track site that we enjoyed visiting. My sis and I took a trip and we visited Dinosaur National Monument near Vernal, Utah which is fantastic! A partially excavated hillside is enclosed where there are hundreds of dinosaur bones displayed right in the "wall". In their natural setting. So amazing!!
