You clicked on Send on June 16. I see the actual Postal Stamp and Tracking from the Post Office was dated June 25. A whole week later.. Thus the rating. I did Contact the Host of this Swap. ( original sign up by date was May 18 for this swap).
Response: I am disappointed with the 3 as I told you I have a broken foot and can not drive. I sent an extra pincushion and what I thought was special fabric in addition to the required pincushion. I thought that would compensate for the delay. After 9 years on swapbot with no 3’s your rating makes me wonder if it’s time to drop out. Life happens beyond swapbot.

Comment: Thank you for the lovely "grow" atc. The envie you sent it in was ripped on half of one side though, and it had this weird fuzzy foam green/black stuff inside? I dont know if it got in from the rip, or if it was the leftovers of something that fell out of the rip! It was very strange... o.o You had taped it up pretty well with tape, but it still ripped! I wonder what happened to it!

Response: Funny you should ask. It was supposed to be clear gesso but it was so humid and damp when I made it the gesso never got clear. I was upset at first but just went with it. I am glad you liked it.

Comment: I LOVE the 'G'. I especially love that it's an upper case G one way, and a lowercase G the other! That TOTALLY ROCKS! Also I love the purple wash. How do you do a wash anyway? The circle and frets frame the G perfectly.
Response: I started with a sheet of watercolored paper. I made a whole bunch of them over the summer and cut them into ATC size backs. Then I do the zen on top. Glad you liked it!

Response: Our house was relatively spared - but many around us lost much. It is heartbreaking still to drive around town and see people's possessions piled at the curb waiting for the insurance company to evaluate and the the garbage trucks to haul it off. I am glad you liked the ATC.

Response: Funny story about the chips. My sister-in-law and I were crafting and my brother came in and put a bag of those chips on the table by us while he did something else. I thought they were for us - so I grabbed a couple. I loved the way they looked, too! Turns out he mas making his own varnish (I didn't even know you could do that!!) Glad you liked them, too!

Response: I am not entirely sure. I sent out a bunch of swaps recently. It was either watercolors or pastels I imagine. I have done a few large pages of each to cut up into ATC backs. Glad you liked the Z. I keep trying to do something a bit different since we keep getting each other as partners!

Comment: How did you do this? I am stunned at the creativity and the skill and oh my! When I opened this, there was just a bit of light coming in through the curtains - and I saw the silhouette and thought - did she put a mermaid on here? I thought this was celtic? Then I took it into the light and saw the gorgeous mermaid and the celtic border and im gushing but I actually have tears in my eyes - this is so beautiful - thank you! You have truly made my swapbot experience a better one!

Response: I see Picasso as very geometric. You actually could do it without the computer. I took a photo of Elvis and drew straight edged polygons on top that loosely copied his features. You could do the same thing with tracing paper I imagine. Then I filled the shapes. It was printed on photo paper. Glad you liked it!

Response: No Problem! I have them myself frequently! The swap said "The color green MUST be present in the ATC, whether it is a green ATC base, green pen, etc." If you are not happy with the green background I can do another with a green pen.

Response: I used a photo/page layout computer program and superimposed the lettering over the photo. Glad you liked it! I did print one for myself, too, because I liked it, too!

I love the Yeti style one...the way you wrote the quote on there is so COOL. The "It IS what it IS" card w/the zentangles is really cool too!
