Response: The aged pink look came from avocado dying. I am glad you enjoy it. I like how these type of swaps push my creativity.

It arrived while a crafty friend was here for an afternoon of projects with me and we both spent most of the time after that going over each page and commenting on this part or that part; then we discussed different aspects that we were most impressed with and how we wished our journals were half as nice as the one you created. We both agreed that if this one isn't your 'best effort', then we can't imagine how beautiful your best effort could possibly be!! It's easy to see that you put a tremendous amount of time and energy into it and I feel so lucky to be on the receiving end of your work. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful swap!!! Response: Oh thank goodness! I am so glad you like it! I was behind the curve on that one as far as magpie goes, lol. The journal came with 4 separating pages, was the envelope one of those? The trifold, the vellum, the pocket that I put the skull napkin on I think the 4th was the envelope. I found that journal thrifting, I love cool bases. I make my own often but that was a find, the paper was very flimsy thus the combining of pages.

Comment: Hello Brenda, WOW! WOW! WOW! I received your box today and i just love everything in it. I wasnt really sure what a fandex was, i googled it and saw some pics, but still wasnt really sure, but hey it was starwars, so cant go wrong there! Ive never seen anything like it before - it is great. Im gonna sit down and read all the little facts - never know could come up at our trivia night! Those postage stamps are AWESOME! You would not believe, but when i went to the PO today to post my swaps and collect my mail, i saw that they had a folder of mandalorian postage stamps - i was in line and looked over to the area where they keep those collectables and squealed when i saw them, rushed out of the line to have a closer look and of course i got them! I dont know, but somehow starwars gripped my heart from the first episode and i reckon i am the biggest fan i know! I have over a dozen starwars t-shirts and a few of them have holes in them, but i cant throw them out! I still wera them with the holes and i have put a few yoyos on the holes. I have a box of panels that i cut out from a heap of older ones when they were falling apart, that maybe one day i will sew them together like Bellas quilt in Twilight! I love all the halloween stuff - i think a lot of that is because of all the orange and i am obsessed about orange - i have an orange car, wear orange everyday, except for special occasion things like christmas or st pats day and other crazy dress up events - even with a lot of them i can wangle orange into it! Sometimes i wear another colour and its like im in disguise! - my friends dont recognise me. They will walk right past me at the shops. Did you make those two doilies? Such delicate crochet in the smaller one and i love the stringy effect of the bigger one - both of them will be appearing on my altar. I love the coaster in the beautiful autumn colours. Im going to pop one into my craft trolley that i take to retreats and leave it in there - i always forget to pack one. The dragon cutout is beautiful - am going to have to think of something special to use that! The string of flowers that look like they are made from fake leather are just beautiful - im going to snip one off and see if my orange sprays will take to it! And the cute little bee album is just gorgeous! I have a few special bee things that i can see going into it. I am going to have such a good time with halloween craft this year! It will all go great with a couple of book I'm putting together for a virtual crafting camp I did with a couple of friends last year. It was like Girl Scouts for grown women so anything nature or vintage looking/themed is great. I love the ribbon you tied it with. It looks like moss. Thanks so much for everything 8)

Love the one with the greenery on the vellum and the bird journal card - that vellum is very cool and love the little embellishments you added to the corner. Comment: Brenda, these are awesome! Some of my ATCs really fight me, too, though I love this one and the fabric accent on it. I like how he's looking out a window :):) The art glass one is so special to me as my grandparents were art glass collectors, historians, and lecturers! It's a lovely work and I like how the words high pressure are at the top, as if talking about the making of glass or maybe breaking it. Very cool. Thank you! :):):) Absolutely LOVE the dino pages!!! My craft room is exactly the same. I'm always in danger of an avalanche. :D

The incredibly awesome jellyfish is going to hang in a place of honor in my craft room! The vintage Japanese postcard is exactly the type I love...I have a journal for all things Japanese and it is going in there as the treasure it is!!!! And the journal tuck tag rocks! I've got some very similar paper but I haven't used it nearly as creatively as you have!!! This is the best!!! You get all the hearts ❣❣❣❣❣

Comment: BRENDA!! I can't FATHOM How much work went into this!! This was a VERY special Swap!! I am soooo Sorry that your dog has passed. Nevi is my first dog with my husband. But I have had 2 family dogs with my mom and fam. 1 passed away soooo quickly (Which they do) that 1 week later (exactly) my midlife crisis parents came home with a Boxer CRAZY puppy. Who became MY PAL!! My Pal one day didn't want to get up one day to greet me. His dad died (today in 2014) and he didn't have much gumption after that. Mom passed a little after her two male counterparts. To say I didn't want a dog much after that, is an understatement. But when I had some personal problems during our first year of marriage and so We got Nevi during an aweful bought of Depression and she has SAVED me!! (I know alot of pressure for an animal) but she's got four legs and a mega watt smile!! She can Handle it. I hope the puppy gets well adjusted soon. Its so hard on EVERYBODY not just for the owner. Well I should of probably of put this in a message But you did a fantastic job Thank you!!

Comment: Thank you for the fun goodies! I love that they are all Pacific Northwest themed...so lucky we’re both from here! I don’t go to Whitman, although it’s close to my home. I go to Whitworth in Spokane which is Whitman’s rival in sports! My very favorite sweatshirt that I’ve had for years is a Whitman sweatshirt, which confuses a lot of people. We have a huge park that modeled after Central Park called Pioneer Park. That’s probably the one you went to with your kids. I’m hoping to visit the Olympia Peninsula this summer and get some good hikes in! Have a great summer!! Thanks again!
